Great little place. The pescado was delicious! Loved the jug of chilies on the table, great spicy addition to the dish.
It is cheap indeed, but not good at all, the rice & beans wasn't good at all, the fish wasn't fresh and the chicken sandwich had chicken bones and skin.
Not recommended unless you can't afford anything else.
Best rice & beans, only served at Sundays, in Cahuita ❤🌷🎈
Great authentic food, fast , great service and great prices .
Open daily at 5:30 in the morning. So It is a convenient breakfast place if the bus to catch leaves early morning.Popular among locals and long term tourists. Easy come easy go laid back atmosphere. Reasonably priced delicious local foods. I recommend arepa and Casado fish fillet、beef faijitas. Hot chocolate and various Shakes are nice too.
Good typical food. Good service. Quick. I went there twice !
Soda Kawe is by far the cheapest place we have eaten at while in Cahuita and the portions are generous. We had beef steak and pork rib lunches which came served with rice, beans and a small salad made of tomato and cabbage. Meal includes a juice of your choice. It is a basic set up inside but has a homely vibe and will leave your appetite satisfied.
Great food, great smoothies, great prices. They don't sell beer but you can buy beer at the supermarket next door to have with your meal of you like. The best place to eat in Cahuita.
The best Gallo Pinto breakfast in Cahuita! Very cheap, as most dishes are about 2400-2700 colones (about $3-4). They have smoothies (natural drinks) made with real fruit, and they are spectacular!! Those are also very cheap as they cost 1000 colones (about $1.80). I went here twice a day for a week straight. Very very happy with the food and service!
Amazing Gallo Pinto and Batidos!!! The price is very affordable!!! The portions are extremely generous!!! The coffee is amazing!!! Ask for Oscar. He really knows what he's doing. It is great for the family too!!!
Best soda we ate at in Cahuita. The pork ribs are awesome!
Tasty filling Tico food and at very reasonable prices for Costa Rica, we found food prices to be crippling expensive so this place was welcome relief. We ate here 3 times and visited for coffee a few times too. The guy who served us was great, there's a good selection on the menu and the food comes out quickly. As mentioned in a previous review, the toilet doesn't have a seat which was a bit annoying, but other than that, no complaints.
Serviceable breakfast - can be pretty slow (=busy) in the a.m.
Traditional Tico food cooked on wood fire
Cheap, but no toilet seat! C'mon people this is new millennium, how about the basics of hygiene?
Good service, food was ok.
Good prices. Good food.Recommended by our hosts.
