  Locals eat here, there are lots of regulars. Ana the owner works really hard. She is there all day and late into the night. If I had a problem with the bill I would have written the math on a piece of paper. She was very patient with my terrible Spanish.

  Not recommended to go here. Spend your money and your time elsewhere
  Awful waitress who works there is very racist towards tourists who don't speak fluent Spanish. I know some phrases and basic communication, but she's still openly hostile to everyone. Then I heard her proclaiming loudly that "if you're in Costa Rica then you should speak Spanish". We were all trying to be polite but she just wouldn't accept it.
  The worst part is that she tips herself by rounding up your bill SIGNIFICANTLY. Our meal was 3500 Colones, plus the 10% dine-in charge should only be 3850. She wrote down on the bill that we should pay 4000 colones instead of giving us back change. We didn't have exact change and we don't know enough Spanish to argue, so we grudgingly paid and left.

  Excellent local food. Best pinto in town, breakfast for champions! His carne en salsa is the way to go at any time. Costa Rican typical food
