Excellent facilities and the surf instruction and yoga are great. The Spanish lessons definitely take second priority to the surfing.

My 10 days at the school went by way too quickly! I have nothing but great things to say about it. The surf instructors in particular are amazing. They really care about teaching and helping you catch waves. My homestay was wonderful. And the other students were interesting people from all over the world. I hope I can stay longer next time!

Great place to meet new people, make new friends and learn a new skill or two. Surf, yoga, go pro, photography or Spanish. It's called a learning vacation but it more like a lesson in how life should be. Relax, enrich your mind and spend a week or more with great people both local and from all over the world. Multiple trips and planning on coming back again.

School Of The World is probably the most exciting place to stay and learn in Costa Rica. I've been back several times now over the past few years and every time I fall more in love with that place. It's hands down the best surf school in Costa Rica and has some of the best instructors money can buy. I'm not great at board sports but was up and surfing the first day of class. I can't wait to go back and see everyone!

Me and my dad (age : 36 & 64) visited the school for 2 weeks in May 2015 and we have only good things to day about our experience. My dad did Yoga, Photo and Spanish and I added surf to the same package. This place is great, the different classes were very fun and the team/instructors are just awesome. Plus we met so many great people during these 2 weeks, we just can't ask for more.

I had heard that Costa Rica is a good place for a beginner surfer and I was looking for one week of intensive surf training. I ended up at the School of the World Surf Camp. I have only positive things to say about the school. Booking and other arrangements were easy and the staff was very helpful, even my arrival and departure in the middle of the night was handled elegantly. The surf instructors gave me good instructions both about surfing technique and how to read the ocean, and thanks to them I exceeded my objectives. The school itself is an amazing environment with beautiful rooms and it has a nice common area were you can socialize with the other guests. The school somehow seems to attract nice people and the guests were the best collection of people I ever met. Thank you for a perfect week, School of the World!

My experience at School of the World was beyond my expectations. The staff was knowledgeable, kind, and always up for an adventure. Not only did I meet wonderful people, but I was able to explore Costa Rica and create memories that will last a lifetime. I highly recommend the School of the World to anyone who is interested in a learning vacation.
