  FIND THE GUIDE WITH THE WHITE UMBRELLA!!
  Amazing tour with Herman, he had lots of good recommendations and information that made me feel like I knew a lot more about San Jose and Costa Rica at the end.
  There are two fake tour guides who are not affiliated and will try to summon you, they are wearing similar t-shirts that say free walking tour, so look out for the umbrella so you know it is the right guide. I saw around 10 people leave with the fake guide which is disappointing for them and for the real guides offering the tour .

  I love free walking tours and was happy that I found one in San José. The guides always seem to be really passionate about the city and this tour did not disappoint.

  So happy that there was a free walking tour here in San Jose! I communicated with the tour co via their Facebook page prior to my visit to confirm the meeting location and that the tour was offered the day of my visit. They responded quickly and was very friendly. Even when I was running a little late due to traffic, they assured me that the tour guide would wait for it and sure enough, they did! I arrived at the national theatre at 9AM to be greeted by two of their tour guides in their white branded tshirts, they both spoke english and spanish but we broke off into two separate groups, one for english speakers and one for spanish speakers. my tour guide was Brandon! He was amazing! Our tour lasted about 2.5 hours or so and he was very knowledgable about the country and all the sites we stopped at. I had a very enjoyable time on this tour and HIGHLY recommend it! They do the tours EVERYDAY! Just meet in front of the National Theatre! You won't regret it! P.S. Tip well! These tour guides work really hard to make sure you have a enjoyable time!

  Very informative and interesting, a great way to get a feel for the city and become oriented with the main landmarks, plazas, and parks. Guides are very helpful and knowledgeable.
