Whatever you do DO NOT RENT villa 16. our group of 6 spent 6 nights there and was extremely disappointed. First let me say something positive, the pool was nice. The owners must not be paying any attention to this property is was sub standard. in all respects. Let me begin to say this. Bed linens were stained. AC worked but the units which controlled the AC did not have batteries. They did not provide bathing soap, and only 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom. Sheets were stained and towels were well worn, only 4 wash cloths were provided. The hot water was not working most of the time. You had to push a reset button which would give you hot water for a bit but it constantly went out. Thus half way through your shower all you got was cold water. The TV did not work nor did the DVD player. The kitchen dishwasher turned on but did not clean the dishes. We washed all of ours by hand. Luckily, we brought our own dish soap and laundry detergent. The coffee pot did not work until we cleaned with vinegar several times. It was a cheap Walmart $9.99 model needs to be replaced. The internet which they just got worked about 70%. You had to keep calling the rental company in charge to get them to call someone else to fix it. Overall the Resort, and I use that term loosely needs a complete overall. Bad roads, overgrown grounds and very poorly maintained, and this place is too far removed to become a nice tourist place. Beware of internet pictures of the place they are not accurate.

We had a very relaxing stay in Villa 8 within Roma Del Mar, house was beautiful and the views were amazing. Location is very remote so when they say you need a 4 wheel drive believe them. Natalia and Caroline, were very helpful with our accommodations and prompt with any questions we may have had during our stay. Mike and his staff at the restaurant make great pizza and are very friendly. Lars went over an above helping us out on our last day when we lost a piece of luggage and needed his help meeting us in town to retrieve it – he really saved us from missing our flight. The WhatsApp was great for communications during our stay. House is beautiful but you will spend most of your time outside :) again the view was amazing. The only con was you do have a bit of a drive if you want to see or do any other adventures outside the community - just plan a few day trips. Enjoy

Place is nice and tranquil with a beautiful ocean view. The only thing I will have to say is that the Mini Mart closes early and very minimal close by restaurant, but then again I come from Northen Jersey where most olaces are open late.

Had an absolutely amazing time here, beautiful houses on an absolutely fabulous compound! Extremely relaxing experience here and felt like part of the family with the hospitality of the owner Lars and his wife. Ate at the restaurant every night of my stay and they have the best pizza I have tried in central america! A+, would recommend a stop here to anyone traveling to Costa Rica! Pura Vida!!!

A splendid quiet place, where one can find peace of mind. There Is an excellent restaurant (Aroma del Mar) that offers pasta, home made italian pizza and a lot more.
