Amazing place in the middle of the jungle. You feel fortunate to be here when having a morning coffee with this view. Just outside the city and only a 10minute taxi ride in. William, the manager is super friendly and helpful.

William was an amazing host manager of this incredibly beautiful location. This lodge was like living at the top of the rainforest canopy. Birds everywhere, and the food they served us every morning and evening was delicious Costa Rican cuisine. We were a group of 24 and also took over the Pineapple House for the week. They provide two massage therapist for a perfect way to relax with cool open rainforest breezes as you drift away.

Not for everyone. It's in a forest, not a resort, but very very relaxing. Wonderful people.

This is the best choice you can make if you like to be a bit more isolated from the main touristy streets of La Fortuna and enjoy nature. It's not what you are looking for if you want to go bar hopping in La Fortuna.

There's a super friendly handyman who lives on site, there are two very sweet protecting dogs, a cat and kitty, and a lot of acres where you can explore the wild - on property. The bedroom was simplistic but cozy and the common area is very nice. There is a 1.6 km offroad drive to get to the property, so you need a car that can handle that.

Breakfast is $7, laundry is $10, dinner is $15.

This is the place to stay if you are looking for a jungle experience in the Arenal Volcano area. The rooms were jungle bungalows with plenty of beds. The staff is phenomenal and very welcoming. Treated us like family and had a great Thanksgiving dinner with them. Food was amazing!!! Staff helped setup all our events and saved us some money booking trips. If you want an upscale hostel like experience, this is the place to stay. If you are a 5 star hotel kind of person you may want to look elsewhere. This location is in the jungle and there will likely be bugs around the facility or in your room along with potential for other wildlife (we had a pet gecko, some adorable cats and dogs visit us). The common areas are spectacular. I would definitely stay here again!

It was a fun way to experience the jungle. It is definitely not a fancy hotel, but calls for adventure! The guides are super nice, and the meals are delicious!

Unlike a hotel, Princesa de la Luna was a very rustic experience. The property is beautiful and worth exploring. The people are very nice and provide amazing meals. Overall, a different but fun experience.

we checked out 1 hour after arriving. The spring fed pool was down a muddy, treacherous set of stairs. It had tiles falling off and moss growing inside it. we rented 2 rooms - they were very dusty. I don't think the fan had ever been dusted and the sheets did not seem fresh.
The sink was leaking. The bathroom smelled. The bed caved in when pushed with one hand. We asked for our money back but got no response.

Beautifully genuine. Rustic yet comfortable. Our family of 5 found this part of our trip to be a great experience. William and his crew offer home cooked meals (for a reasonable cost) upon request. By far the best food we ate while in La Fortuna. William took us on a tour of the property and we sampled oregano, cinnamon, lemongrass, and many other spices. We will definitely be back. Great hospitality, great food, and a great experience.
