Stayed for 7 nights. Felt like family was welcoming us when we arrived. They organized everything we asked for perfectly (rides, excursions, etc.). There is hot water, in fact a beautiful screened shower that feels like you are showering in the forest (but without the bugs!) - the shower is just different from what we are used to (different way the water warms means different way of turning on). Coffee delivered on your patio early every morning (in a thermos that keeps hot) and a plaintain installed so you can attract and watch birds. Excellent guides on l recommended excursions. Excellent value for money. Standard meal in costa rica (a hearty and healthy meal) will run you about 7-10$ american/canadian. We followed nearly everything the hotel recommended and it was a trip to never forget. Hosts are so accomodating. Met people from around the world.

Staying in our tree house was a once in a lifetime experience! Would recommend staying here to anyone. It was the true Costa Rican experience. Our tree house was clean and cozy. Waking up to coffee and the wild life was the best - and breakfast was delicious! On our night hike we saw a sloth with its baby and many other animals. We would (and plan to) stay here again. ❤️

Nice location with great wildlife but way overpriced for what you get. No hot water. Can't flush toilet paper and truck noises drown out the sounds of the forest.

A great property in a very beautiful area of Costa Rica.
Mark and Lucy were such wonderful hosts during our two night stay. The tree houses are such fun to stay in. They are incredibly well constructed and spacious. Lucy and her staff served very delicious breakfasts. The property has a great walking trail and is in a beautiful setting. The property is about a twenty minute car ride from the town of La Fortuna, which is a quaint and colorful place to spend a few hours. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. And as the locals say, PURA VIDA. Definitely stay here if you are visiting the Mount Arenal area.

I have been here twice and plan to go again..EXCELLENT, BEAUTIFUL, EXCITING AND A TOTAL BLAST. Regarding the Cat lady, very cool that she took the stray home, however, there is more to that story. Her negativity towards Tree Houses got my dander up. Tree Houses does have a 3 dogs living on the property. They are all rescues and perfect jungle dogs. They are friendly and love people. MOST guests, like myself, take a dog or two on walks. They have the best time and so do I. They do not allow guests to bring their dogs. Obvious reasons. Geez. Also, Tree Houses, sponsors "Street Dogs" they have been hugely responsible for finding homes, spaying or neutering dogs etc. Guests can help by purchasing Street Dog, T-shirts at the Tree Houses. They also have rescued many Sloth's that they have found injured. When you go, spend some time conversing with the owners and staff. They are wonderful people and so much more involved in Costa Rica then just the Tree Houses. Have a great time. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

The resort it self was beautiful but no too pleased on the stuff and how they handle situations. Found a cat while we were there in a tree and we took it home to America to adopt at first they were very supportive about it telling us to keep and take it even giving us a kenal for it and towels. But than were rude about it later like it was our fault the cat was on there property made us pay for towels they gave us for the cat and than threaten to kick us out because of it when we found it on there property. Probably won't ever stay there again! Would recommend somewhere else if your a pet lover. Also were telling us no pets allowed yet they had 3 dogs running around the resort there whole time. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone next year when we come back we plan on staying somewhere else!

Great place with very friendly staff all around. Stayed with family in Frog treehouse and my boys loved the night walk. Got to see all kinds of animals and learn a lot about Costa Rica at the same time. Gave us the great unique experience we were looking for in Costa Rica. Would do it again and add a couple nights.

I thought that this would be the highlight of our trip but it didn't quite make it. It is a lovely place, the tree houses are beautiful inside and very comfortable, they have great views. The showers are open on two sides to allow views of the forest but are still private.

Rather than being built around a tree they are built on a steel frame.

Breakfast is served in the communal area with humming bird feeders. The breakfast was nice but had been prepared earlier and reheated, microwaved fried eggs aren't that appealing.

We had a lovely night tour and saw lots of plants and some wildlife including a sloth.

We had better experiences elsewhere that were better value.
