This place is a paradise on the beach. So beautiful and the owners are a wonderful couple, willing to help in any way they can.
For 150 dollars a night Hot and humid as hell.
We stayed at Playa Negra Guesthouse for 2 nights and loved every second that we were there! The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Our room was comfortable and had all the amenities that we needed. The staff is welcoming and friendly. It is close to the National Park and many restaurants, but far enough away from the town that it is quiet and serene. Highly recommended!
Nice place for our first two nights in Costa Rica Maryse and Pierre are very helpful and take care about all you need. The lodge was very clean with lot of space and price good with "tout Costa Rica " discount ! We were lucky to make reserve tour with Pierre who explain lots of things to the children in all the languages you need ! Better than a local guide ! Thanks
Stayed there a couple years back. The best place on the east side of the country. It's a very low-key and mellow location. The owners were awesome. They took us for a tour of the nearby jungle and went cliff jumping in a water hole. Definitely one of the best all around experiences. The rooms are great and the pool was excellent. Easily a 10 min walk to the nearby bars and restaurants. I'm definitely going back.
Excellent service, lush gardens and pool to relax in. Cottages are superior to the standard double rooms, 10secs from the beach. 3 nearby restaurants that serve excellent fish, more in the village which is 10-15mins away. Parking available.
After traveling Costa Rica for almost 2 weeks we finally found a place to stay and feel good. There are other good places, but definitely none such as this one. My first Impression was, that Michelle (the owner) built up a paradise in paradise. With Michelle and his two German shepherds, Pepper and Dolly, you always feel in good hands.
The location of the Guesthouse is 1st class directly at the beach a little outside of Cahuita, but not too far away, to go there by foot.
There is a pool with already chilled drinks for the prices you pay in the grocery!
All in all it is my highlight here on my Costa Rica trip and I think one of the No1 feelgood places in CR for a more than reasonable price. Can advice everybody to have at least a fleets look at it!
Best regards, Mike and Maike.
