The place had high ratings by many others, so maybe our experience was a one off. It took our server over ten minutes to bring our ordered drinks or water to the table. Then I ordered a glass of wine when my food arrived but after fifteen minutes, my food finished, and still no glass of wine I asked them to cancel it. The server seemed visually irritated and quickly walked away. We then asked for refills of water and the check. She brought the check, but never brought water. On top of that, the food was average. So many better restaurants in this beautiful town.
Salad looked good, but no dressing given, so lost a star for that. Had the sea bass, which was delicious, but noticed a lot of folks had the steak. Steak looked amazing and if I went back, I'd get the steak. Drinks were delicious.
OMG I had such a delicious and memorable dinner with my family. You don't expect to pay this much in Central America but I have no regrets. Service was great and the food was amazing. And to be honest - I'm hard to please. 5 stars from all 4 of us.
The BEST STEAK IN TANAMARINDO!!!!!! You need a reservation to get in, and I can see why. The food is amazing. The red wine sauce- heavenly. Service was exceptional. I really enjoyed the entire meal. The atmosphere was lovely. 10/10 I would return to Costa Rica simply to dine here.
Steaks like in heaven!
Excellent steaks, good choice, nice place and very friendly staff!
Delicious desert!
Very delicious, very nice for a romantic vacation dinner. Make sure you reserve a day before, as seating is pretty limited and this is a well-sought after spot.
No ocean view but very cute Argentinian steakhouse vibe. Go very very hungry, and have something light and fresh as your meal prior to coming here. We were overwhelmed by the richness and found it to be a bit heavy after a long day on the beach/surfing.
Super generous portions, and pretty reasonably priced. My boyfriend got the beef tenderloin and it was an enormous portion of two 4oz cuts with potatoes and veggies. SO rich and juicy.
I had the salmon-stuffed ravioli special, which was in a nice dill cream sauce. Not too rich or heavy, but definitely a challenge to finish.
Fast service but didn’t feel rushed :)
Expensive for what you get.
The meat was not trimmed properly which left about 65% of actual meat. The dish was served with chips, nobody in Argentina ever served me a steak with chips. Ever. Changed upon request but still not the way to go people..
Props for the venue, but I go to a restaurant for the food.
The steak was cooked to order-medium-unfortunately same goes for the meat's quality. The salad didn't taste like much, I guess to match the steak. The espresso was below average. A simple nespresso machine would've done better. I don't reccomend it.
Absolutely delicious. We actually ended up eating here two nights in a row we liked out so much. My favorite was the ribeye, prepared medium. Super well cooked and the flavor was spectacular. We didn't make a reservation, but were able to sit at the bar even though the rest of the restaurant was packed. Staff was friendly and overall a great experience. Would recommend to anyone!
Perfect dinner ! The restaurant was full, but we didn't wait more than twenty minutes to get our plates. The team is really professional and the food is incredible. If I could put more than 5 stars, I would ! I totally recommend it !
We made reservations to have dinner here. But we got worried after some of the reviews. All we can say is GO you will not be disappointed. The food was fantastic the best beef we have had here in CR. The service and the staff has definitely made this a must stop for us. We will return and bring our guests here for a wonderful dinner.
Unfortunately, the show was the best part of the meal. That said I would say 25% to 35% of the ribeye was fatnot marblingpure untrimmed exterior fat. I would be embarrassed to serve any guests something so untrimmed. For the price would expect something akin to a mid range to high end steakhouse in U.S. Outback in United States, a lower end chain, had better seasoned ribeyes and definitely better trimmed for less. Patagonia potatoes are just chips/crisps and the salad is an under dressed slaw. I wouldn't recommend to a friend.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Tamarindo. The staff is always very helpful. Definitely a must have!
We asked a local what's the best restaurant in town and he adviced Patagonia so we went there. Maybe we've made the wrong choice of the menu, but both of us didn't liked it that much. I had some kind of beef schnitzel which i really didn't liked and my husbands pork ribs were also not that good. Nevertheless there were many people in line to get their diner there. Before you get your meal they give you some bread with pesto, which is great. But slow down a bit on your garlic is our advice, haha!
I'm being generous. It was a middling experience. The host was rude when we arrived and asked us to step aside and he would call our name, which he had not taken. The chicken milanesa was very good. The New York strip steak was 1/3 (no hyperbole) unmarbled fat that chewed more like gristle. When the host asked how everything was and the complaint was gently worded, we were snottily told that this is the way it is supposed to be, a long steak with a strip of fat and that we should "enjoy it." The Patagonian fries were thick cut potato chips. The mashed potatoes were bland, and the salad was mostly an unmixed slaw. The grilled cheese was mostly just melted and allowed to cool.
Terrible service.
Plenty of serve gathered near the kitchen door but didn't pay attention to the 8 tables that needed food or water. I sat close to the bar and asked the bartender for water twice.
It was difficult to get our check too. Luckily, I spotted our female server duck behind the bar and hide there.
Decent food.
The chefs did well with the French fries. Utterly delicious. The steak Milanese was good.
Great food and service. Really reasonable lunch prices!
A great place in the seemingly touristy town. We were supposed to wait for over an hour without reservation, but the host nicely fit us in. We had one of the best steak and sea bass here. Great atmosphere as well!
We did a food hop around Tamarindo and this was one of our stops. We shared an appetizer of eggplant and zucchini with goat cheese. It was delicious! It was quick service, a great environment, and centrally located.
The price is very reasonable. I came here twice. The first time because I felt I didn't have an Argentinian experience. I had the seafood linguini the first time and the lamb stuffed pasta the second time with the provenzal shrimpThe shrimp I can make at home..the lamb pasta and seafood linguini were both excellent. Also, I will say this-their wines are expensive. So you understand- my seafood ling was $15..my wine was $12.
