We were advised this was geared for tourists (three restaurants, this being one, are attached to the big hotel in the area) and reflected in prices but really just after some juicy chicken so ignored what we were told. Unfortunately.
The menu was in dollars which i find odd seeing as we’re not in that region of America but also understand as it caters to a large American trade.
We ordered bloody Mary’s which they said they could not do after about ten minutes of ordering then the food arrived which was suspiciously quick.
The “rotisserie” chicken was not golden as you would expect (or picturedlol) but a wrinkly hue of dark brown.
It was SO dry it was hard to swallow let alone enjoy.
If that chicken had been spinning on a rotisserie then it had been on there for years, at least that’s what it tasted like. Sides of salad and chips (on the menu as potato salad?) were fine although you can’t really go wrong there.
The second attempt at a drink (mango lemonade) was so sweet I had to pour a third of it into my fizzy water to dilute it. It then tasted ok. I couldn’t finish the rest of the drink.
We also ordered a ceviche but with prawns instead of white fish. The prawns weren’t fresh or flavourful - they had a rubbery feel to them and might have once been frozen. There were also many of them in the dish signifying they were probably cheap (which again, leads me to think of them being bought in frozen). The garnish was tasty - diced tomato, coriander, avocado with plantain chips. I asked for no red onion but it turned up with onion. Thank goodness I didn’t have an allergy. That, I can forgive, over cooked chicken, I can’t.

Just fantastic chicken on the Grill!!
Try is! Up to now, the best chicken in Costa Rica.
Service was friendly and fast!
Price was amazing for ½ Grilled Chicken, salads and Pommes.

My girlfriend and I went here on our first night in Tamarindo and were very disappointed. The food was good, but not great. The service was horrendous. Gabriella (spelling?) did not greet us when we walked in for at least 2 minutes. She didn't smile at all. Never asked how our meal was or refilled our drinks. They have a mandatory 10% tip. If it wasn't for that, we would not have tipped her. Really really disappointed in the experience. Plenty of other spots in town to try. Avoid this place.

Very nice restaurant! Staff was very friendly and patient with my broken Spanish. Food came out pretty quick and was very very delicious! Very neat layout of the place, open to the road and plenty of space to maneuver. I would recommend this spot to anyone. We were entertained with live music, which was a treat, a little extra but worth the experience!

Food was delicious! This was the second visit. We were a group of 6 for lunch and the service was prompt and polite. Not very busy during our meal. Open air atmosphere is very nice and the smell of the grill is amazing. Had the BBQ For Two. Expect to pay about 10$ to 15$ per person.

My chicken fajita was all onions and just a little chicken. Granted they were busy, the service less then par. I had to beg for my beverage.

Very nice shrimp & rice
Service was decent, but it wasn't at all busy when I was here. I really liked the shrimp and rice dish (arroz y camarones), it was delish! I ate everything on the plate! I think this is probably more of a lunch place as opposed to dinner, but I would definitely eat here again!response / report this review -

Worst service I ever had in Tamarindo,my server made me feel like I didn't belong there,looks like he has a serious attitude against local Tico customers.Talked to the manager and didn't care much either, ridiculous but true.Thanks for nothing

nothing special meal. our daughter ordered tenderloin, first they brought the wrong meal, then corrected it and brought the right meal 10 minutes late which was not even edible. my husband got the chicken fajitas and food was ok but very small serving. drinks were bad too. Service was good but the fact that they did not take our daughter's meal off the check after messing up the first time and seeing that she ate less than 2 bites-meh!
