Before anything else, I want to tell everyone that from my perspective as the patient in the chair, Dr. Vargas displayed more skills, medical knowledge, and care for my comfort, . than any other Dentist I have ever had in sixty years.
His clinical level of treatment and his truly artistic level of "rebuilding a smile" is amazing.

But for me all that was on top of a very basic service I have never received in the U.S. He provided me a well thought out and organized plan to acheive all of the extensive work I required. He factored in my priorities, financial capabilities, and my schedules, then presented me an acheivable and easy understand program of work to be done.
For the first time in my life I had a plan with a finish to it, over a specific amount of time,.. not some"vauge description, with unending visits, and no idea of costs (other than it was more than I could ever afford!)
Costa Rica's cost of dental work is affordable for almost everyone.
And for the first time all the work I needed was achievable. But my phobia of dentists has always been an obstacle.

Dr. Vargas's concern, care, and skills for his Patients, completely removed my fears. He is friendly yet honest with his evaluations and recommendations.
His level of clinical service is very high, but he also has a team of specialist (like dental surgeons) available onsite!

Mal Pais, Costa Rica is our favorite place on Earth. We can literally pay for a vacation there with the money we save having our dental work done while visiting!!

After six appointments with Dr. Vargas, I can say with certainty that he is a master of his craft. Technically proficient, artistically gifted, with a steady hand and a gentle chair-side manner, Dr. Vargas takes time and really focuses on the patient in front of him. My husband and I each showed up with a mouthful of dental issues, with two weeks to resolve them. Dr. Vargas thoroughly reviewed our xrays, patiently discussed the necessary priorities and costs associated with each procedure. We planned out our time, and he was generous and flexible with his appointment schedule. I have no idea if his equipment is state-of-the-art, but I can tell you the man is a first-class clinician.
