fabulous place to watch krater. All was socked in and people left, but we took a lunch nearby and went back two hours later: it had opened up and we saw it all!

Easy level walk to view of recent volcanic activity and lake. In addition there is a pleasant 2km walk to a higher lake, though cloud forest. For us, as is often the case, the higher lake could only just be seen through the clouds.
