This is an older water filled caldera of the volcano. The clouds quickly roll in and out. So, one minute you see the lake and the next it's shrouded in the clouds.

Problem is that this lake is in the cloud forest. So enjoy the walk to the lake, but don't be too disappointed if the lake can only just be made out through the clouds. Given the fauna on the walk to the view point, this is a worthwhile mini (2km) hike.
