Would not recommend at all. We had the unit above the office and it was not in good shape. Faucet in the kitchenette wouldn't shut off. We had a termite invasion as soon as we turned the lights off. Thousands of them. We were moved to another room and one of the two AC units didn't work. We were unable to get our money back. I wrote it off. Don't want to deal with them ever again. Beautiful beach though. That is about it.

It’s ideal for the beachfront and pool. The place wants to be high class, but is just lacking many small details. It was still a fun quick in, quick out deal to sea the nice beach and ocean.

Here for a wedding, the couple rented out most of the condo suites for us guests. Genuinely steps for the ocean, might even keep you up if you are a light sleeper. Staff is friendly. Very beach feel, not the typical resort environment (that's meant in every way). Overall a very solid place.

Gorgeous pool area and suits! The suites had AC and kitchens but no safe. There were a few incidents of theft at the hotel the week I was there both by the pool deck and in the rooms so a safe and better security would be a big plus.
The waves were too violent to swim in the ocean but watching the big waves out front was beautiful and the beach was less busy and more serine.response / report this review -

We're not in the US, kitchen and bath amenities lacking, but not sorely so. Large 2 br apartment well furnished, comfy beds on firm side. Staff outstanding with daily cleaning service. Two nice pools, right on beach. Constant sound of surf lulls you to sleep at night. Eat in or out, every type of restaurant you could imagine within 4 miles.

Quaint boutique hotel. Small and friendly. Great beach access and the town of Hermosa. Walking distance to pretty much everything in Hermosa! Reasonably priced, reservations needed. Big following. Good value.

Unfortunately this hotel is not very well managed. The place is worn down. Why do even pretend they are a 5 star hotel? Don't except any equipment in the apartment like kitchenware, a bed light, towels etc The cleaning could improve. When I was trying to shut of a light I got an electric shock. The pool water was unclear, reason unknown. The staff was not very nice to us, during a few days we cough them lie to us a couple of times.
For example the electricity in the area was shut down for 6 hours one day without any in the staff telling us about this. This was a planned maintenance with they knew about. When we ask them they told us they didnt have any information about this a head of time.
This could have been such a nice place, but if you want to stay out of trouble, avoid it.response / report this review -

A Beachfront Paradise. We've become regulars at Marea Brava (Playa Hermosa, Jaco). It's like a tropical garden directly at the beach. Good rooms, great views, friendly staff, peaceful.
