We ended up at the Life for Life project by mistake, and it was the luckiest thing that happened to us on our holiday.
The accommodation is basic - just beds, a shower, mosquito nets and electricity in the cabins. But in exchange you will find the most hospitable people in Costa Rica.
Eduardo and Daniel run the project not for profit but to restore turtle life in the beaches of San Josecito.
If you are looking to be in explore nature and make a contribution to safeguard these species in danger, do get in touch with them: they need volounteers.
Words cannot describe the hospitality we received from a very simple place with great people. The site is simple and remote: no hot water for showers, and no phone reception. But the food is delicious and authentic, the employees and owner treat you like family. The Turtle Rescue project is especially impressive. In July, we had plenty of rain at night and the afternoons most days, but it was worth it. I recommend the trip to Sirena.
Frente al mar ! Lugar tranquilo y la playa es hermosa!
