Charlie is the best surf instructor in town! He is a really nice person and you will definitely have a good time surfing with him. Hope to see you again Charlie !

Be sure to meet Charlie and go surfing when visiting Manuel Antonio! He is an amazing instructor, for all ages and skill levels. Charlie has a wonderful energy and joy for life to share with everyone he works with. He is even willing to tour you around and share some of the best parts of his home. Charlie is also an excellent Sloth spotter and nature extraordinaire. My sister and I are so grateful to have met Charlie while in Costa Rica. He truly made our experience all the richer by being in quality company and experiencing all the beauty that Manuel Antonio has to offer. I hold Charlie in the highest regard. You will be happy to have spent part of your travels with him.

I surfed for the first time with Charlie (Carlos) as my surf instructor and he made this first experience really cool and successful, I was able to stand on my board and go all the way to the beach on the first wave!! I loved it! I totally recommend you guys to book either a surf lesson with him or any other tour that he has to offer. He is a really nice guy with who you'll have a lot of fun discovering the beautiful region of Manuel Antonio !

I had the best expierence learning how to surf with Carlos! We spent the entire day out in the water and once I was able to ride out some waves with him, he taught me how to surf on my own! It was one of the funnest days of my trip and I would do it again when I go back. I highly recommend him for anyone!

I can't say enough good things about Charlie as a surf instructor. I have had surf lessons before, but this was hands down the best instruction I've ever received. His directions were clear and practical. I was able to get up on the board pretty fast (for me)! The board he gave me to use was perfect for me. Also, I had a blast! Charlie clearly loves what he does and instilled a joy for surfing and nature in everyone he works with.

Charlie is an excellent surf instructor. It was my first time surfing and I had been nervous to try it beforehand. His skill and instruction made my experience so much fun! I was able to stand up on my very first wave! The waves were rough that day but I want afraid.
Charlie is also a great host and such a knowledgeable tour guide. I learned so much about Manuel Antonio and the culture of Costa Rica through meeting Charlie! Thank you for such a great time out in the waves! 🌊🏄 #PuraVidaMaeresponse / report this review
