Very friendly staff, good vibes all around. Walking distance from the beach. They have dorm style and private rooms which have fans and nice enough beds.

Not a bad spot. Can be very hot and sweaty even in winter. Also very annoying that they won’t give you two keys if you get a private room with a buddy. Also, very inconvenient and kind of dangerous that the private room doors require a key to open and close even from the inside. It’s like a deadbolt with a keyhole on both sides that latches the door shut. Good location though and a very nice piece of property with a big yard and such.

This place is great! It's located right in the middle of everything, but is secluded enough so that you can sleep at night. The coffee shop next to it has the best coffee that I tried in Costa Rica. I highly recommend this place!

Decent hostel, cheap with very basic amenities. Friendly staff. I think biggest benefit is the proximity to the beach

Great place! We felt at home right away.
We feel comfortable just hanging out in the common area, wich is outside, in the shade of a huge mango tree.
Its low key and easy going. But be aware that there is no hot water in the showers!
I would recommend this hostel and this city to anyone visiting costa rica. It is 5 minutes away from the beach and close to everything you need in the city. The owners are always there to help you and suggest things for you to do.
