A nice place to fish, but watch out for the jellyfish. They hurt.
Waste of time and money. The beach is not as shown in the promo photos, and you pay extra to sit in the chairs, walk in the woods, or do any other activity. Swimming and snorkelling was terrible and there are hundreds of people on the same small patch of beach. It is not a remote, pristine experience. In 3 years of visiting Costa Rica this is the first disappointment.
What a wonderful place to escape to!! Wildlife abound and an amazing spot to snorkel and swim!!! We saw whales nearby and had some of the best ceviche we’ve ever had. Obviously you must arrange a boat/tour as this is an island but make sure you have ample time to relax and walk around. There are nearby coral reefs and the Pura Vida culture makes this a surreal experience.
This place is gorgeousthe beach is amazing, white sand, warm clean blue water plenty of options to enjoy under the sun. My advice do not buy the tour with all the activities it will be hectic and you will not have time to relax and enjoy the beach. Buy the basic tour and if you want to go snorkeling or take a walk to the top of the island or jump on the banana boat.. you can buy each activity separately.
Beautiful relaxing beach to be in the nature. You can only get there by boat, and you are away from everything.
The island is amazing! I traveled from Santa Teresa to Isla Tortuga with Zuma Tour and this company is great! I got to see whales 🙂
Wonderful 2 hour boat ride over Sapphire Seas, beautiful beach, clean harbour. Excellent lunch under a canopy on the beach. So much to do - didn't want to leave :-)
Beautiful beach with nice small waves. There is wildlife such as peacocks, iguanas, deer and more. But most of them you may not see as there is a restricted area you cannot pass. They sell fresh coconuts and chairs/ umbrellas to rent. I went through Calypso Cruises where we went snorkeling and on a banana boat (food was also included). Definitely a main attraction while visiting Costa Rica.
