Samara Pacific Lodge is so lovely. On the edge of little Samara, still easily within walking distance of town and near to amazing Buena Vista beach. The huge salt water pool brings us back there time and again. And, their restaurant with a fabulous and fresh daily menu is well worth the trip!

Did not eat but had pricey drinks. The drinks were only just ok. I expected better at such a nice place. May give it a second chance and go try the food.

Great hotel and setup around a large pool. Very helpful staff. Decent breakfast included. Only downside is the hotel is located fairly far from the main part of Samara. I would stay here again.

I went out of my way to get to the restaurant that was highly recommend to me by my hosts. After eating at almost every place in Samara, this is the best and fanciest food in town. Even by foodie Seattle standards, these people will give you a well prepared, top notch meal.
The tuna steak was crisp but soft, the prawns firm but moist and meaty, the lobster perfecto! All the courses we're delightfully flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The best glass of wine I've had in Costa Rica was here too.
Service? Spot on! Super friendly, well timed and helpful to avoid a companions tomato allergy.
What else can I say? This place is a beautiful cliche of how well the French know thier food and for that, I salute the proprietor.response / report this review -

Food was amazing. Hospitality was amazing can’t say anything bad about the hotel or employees. Reason it didn’t get a 5 star was we were sitting to eat dinner and there were people smoking just outside the entrance. Which is hotel policy. Maybe they should change that since the place where you eat is less than 50 ft away from where people smoke. Also smell cigarette smoke in the back of the hotel from our bathroom.

Staff makes you feel like family. A good selection of wine, and great food. Make a reservation to be sure but most of the time a drop in will work if you get there at 6pm when they start dinner service.

Definitely one of the best hotel we had in Costa Rica. The hotel and the restaurant are hosted by french guys and both succeed in giving you a great experience. Special thanks to Pierro at the looby who did his best to give advices and to share local tips, you can definitely rely on him ! Rooms and facilities are clean, diner is excellent (the best we had in Samara) and the ambiance is really cosy and calm with not so much rooms around you. The only outside noise you will have is the yelling of some monkeys around the place, typical !

Wonderful place. The two owners are extremely kind and will go above and beyond for you. They are french and speak English and Spanish too. The rooms, cocktails, food are amazing. The pool is incredibly warm. I wish I could give them a 6th star.

Simply wonderful place to dine, what a find.
Fantastic food in both quality and portion size. If you want something a little different to the local cuisine this wonderful French restaurant is for you. Locally sourced food on a menu that changes depending on the available produce. Very warm approachable staff completed the experience.
