What a delightful place! Highly recommend for family or romantic getaway. The massage was heavenly, food was delectable, and the staff were lovely. Hidden treasure that I will be returning to

Beautiful hotel surrounded by nature. Nice walks, thermal pool is very nice and the room we stayed was very nice, large with a very confortable mattress and a nice balcony. The place seems to be a little bit in an abandon stage even though it's very beautiful and being surrounded with nature is always nice. The main downside of the place is the restaurant. Overpriced for what it's offered. And the staff is extremely slow and incapable. Common sense doesn't work for them. Breakfast is very poor too. Doesn't meet the standards of a place like this. Overall, it was a good experience.

Beautiful grounds, easy to seek out birds for watching. The huge swimming pool is heated by natural volcano heat, can be cool in the mornings. Rooms are clean but run down. Service is great and the bar at the top of the hill is limited in some drinks, but a really nice place to visit.

The Spa is by far the best experience of the hotel. They also have really really long trails.

First I have to say the staff here is simply amazing. We got stranded on a dirt road 5km from the resort and they did what they could to help us out. They even went looking for us on the dark. I will never forget that. When we finally got the the Spa Reddit they called is down and were very relaxing, told us to just rest and enjoy ourselves and the manager went out with his own car to try to save our stranded car.

The hotel itself must have been amazing some time ago, there is plenty of rooms and suites all beautiful if in need of a little update, but as I read in another review they are now under new management so it will only improve. We didn't have a chance to take advantage of the spa, but the restaurant was very good. Service was timely and or meals were really delicious (pork ribs and pasta).

I wish we had another day there.

New owner/management has taken over in the last 4 months.

Although the hotel/resort has a huge potential with its quiet, beautiful natural surroundings and a number of lovely and attentive staff, there are many areas that need modernization, renovation, investment and retraining.

Some of the complaints seen in this and other websites reflect the mixed quality in this transition period I think.

All the best and good luck to the new management, I would like to comeback one day to witness the positive changes that I am certain they will bring.

The staff are pleasant, and my experience is the staff creates the mood for a place.

    It felt safe, and secure.

The room had what we needed, which included a fridge. The wooden ceiling, white walls, tiled floors all add to the ambiance. There is a mediterranean flair, with a touch of indigenous culture to the hotel.

There was coffee, and tea available at the lobby, which makes it feel welcoming.

    Breakfast was perfect.

It was quiet, with only the sound of nature.
The river running through it is the highlight for me, as it creates a clean, serene feel.

The buildings, and area were well kept.

There are sweet, calm dogs around, yet we did not hear any barking.

Wifi from our room worked well.

Overall this place is a gem

The good: beautiful location in the mountains away from the city. Nice river flowing through the property. Interesting decorations and nice pool. The mediocre: hotel rooms are simple. The bad: restaurant has poor attention to service. For dinner they lack the key ingredients to make anything on their menu. The seafood with avocado, they had no avocado. For sausage mushroom pasta. They had no sausage or mushroom. Worst they don't tell you when ordering and just serve it. For breakfast they had no Gallo pinto, a traditional standard.
