Really loved this little hotel! Simple but spacious hotel rooms, each including a terrace with kitchenette by the pool. Includes breakfast with eggs or pancakes/waffles to order. Saw makaws and iguanas in the thick trees surrounding the pool.

Our stay at Hotel Pumilio was above and beyond what we hoped for a vacation to Costa Rica. Pumilio is located perfectly near two major beaches and several small towns to accompany it's vacinity to Jaco. Being close to these local communities allowed us to buy fresh fruits and fish, as well as try local food with ease. We stayed in the large home on the property which was packed with wonderful commodities. From the large open air common area, to the pool, to the outdoor cooking and separate pavilion, the space was everything you could ask for. It wouldn't be a proper review without mentioning the incredible staff at Hotel Pumilio. The house was always kept clean and any issues we had we're addressed quickly. Most notable was the helpfulness of one person in particular, Krishne. Krishne met with us several time each day to ensure that our time in Costa Rica was being spent well, and gave us plenty of pointers as to how to spend our time. Without his help we would have missed out on lots of local experiences and wasted time figuring out and organizing trips. If you are between any hotel and this one, the hands on staff here should be the reason you choose Pumilio.

We really loved this hotel. The service was brilliant and the rooms were lovely. They give you a glass of wine on arrival which is a nice lovely touch. Doesn't cost much to offer little touches like that but leaves a lasting impression. They also give you a basket of snacks in your room complimentarily.

This place seemed like an oasis in Jaco.

The only 2 criticism we had was that we were in room 15 and the WiFi was very weak in the room. So if they could booster the signal, that will be brilliant. It was perfectly fine in other areas of the hotel.

The parking is a bit tight, but still better to have secure free parking than none though.

The hotel is beautiful, amazing, peaceful and filled with love and details with it's fully personalized service. It's silent and green and surrounded by the most spectacular rainforest and nature.

The rooms are creative, impeccable and comfy.

It has solar panels for electricity and cares about community and environment which is another thumbs up 👍🏼

The staff is always willing to help and book every tour you can possibly think of if that's what you want, or just pamper you if what you want is just relaxing and staying inn you can order from a huge variety of restaurants they're just there with a smile helping you to have the best time.

It's one of my families favorite places on earth, we love it.

We met some people from Canada that only come to pumilio every year, they don't even bother to look for other places because it's so great this is the 3rd year in a row they do this, that's how great it is.

Thank you Pumilio and the staff for one of the best stays of our lifetime (and we loove traveling btw, so we have experience)

Ps. There's some guests making crappy reviews, don't even bother to believe those, this are people that are adicts to pain pills. they where threatening the manager that if he doesn't find and buy for them the illegal pills, they'd write awful things online, they are threatening the hotel because that's their motto it seems "travel for free" excruciating the hotels and restaurants with online bullying and threats (which should be ilegal) so that they get their money back its such a shame.. :( #haterswillhate

We love the place. It's not fair someone writes ugly bad reviews like that and that's also what motivates me to tell about how great our experience as repeated costumer has been.

Noisy hotel and rude staff, my advice is to stay somewhere else.We thought the idea of only ten rooms sounded idyllic and personal like a bed and breakfast but it really just meant poor management and limited infrastructure.

We could hear everything our neighbors were saying in the other room, not relaxing my any means and the outdoor "kitchen" was a dirty toaster oven and a hot plate from the 50's

This was an absolutely lovely hotel. I love that it was a little away from the beach. A quiet family oasis. The pool looked amazing and the breakfast food was fair. There was lots to do just at the hotel and they have a really nice shop with some cool merchandise.

Quiet, convenient, and great rooms away from the hustle of Jaco yet still very close. Really enjoyed our few days of relaxing there.
