very basic rooms. worst pillows ever but you are paying a very low price for rooms. if you want to spend $50-$75 a night then yes you can find better accommodations.

staff is very nice and the dining area is very nice. they have a parking lot right on main road which is hard to find here and a nice but basic swimming pool.

i open my curtains and look right at the volcano.

these are NOT luxury rooms and you must be aware of that.

some of these reviews act as of this place is foul and it’s not. i have stayed all over the country and this place is nice and basic. doesn’t advertise anything else.

Beautiful views. No breakfast although we were told they DID have breakfast for $6. I guess they just open the kitchen when they feel like it. Rooms were not very clean. There was crusty stuff all over the quilts???NO hot water. Pool was disgusting.

The only good thing about this place was that the staff was nice. Other than that it was horrible. The shower was gross and had mold around the shower head. The windows were broken so mosquitoes were coming in all night. The AC didn't work whatsoever, people had to keep coming back whenever we needed it on or off. We didnt enjoy our night there at all. It was pretty terrible. They should also consider repainting their walls or something because there were blood stains from dead mosquitoes next to the bed.

Greatest hotel in La Fortuna. A magnificent view of the volcano. They have a pool, air conditioner, hot water, and a pizza restaurant. It was only $15USD per night for a private room.
There is also a grandmother who is beautiful who works here (Just had to make everyone aware).

Toll ist anders. Aber wer eine günstige Unterkunft mit Parkplatz (unbewacht) sucht ist hier richtig.
Sie Zimmer warten nicht wirklich sauber, deswegen sind wir auch innerhalb des Hotels umquartiert worden. Schöner Pool und durchschnittliche Küche

For your Health and Safety do not - I repeat - do not stay at this "hotel". I spent one night in March 2015 and I had paid for two. I knew when I first walked into the hotel and dealt with the unprofessionalism of the staff that it was going to be an interesting night. When I went to take a shower there was several cockroaches. I went to go to bed and there was hair and stains all over the sheets and pillows. I slept without the pillows with my towel draped on top of the sheets. The next morning I went to the reception and informed them I will not be staying the additional night and request a re fund for the night I would not be staying. Well they had me talk to about 3 different people before this one lady came to me and called me a liar about my experience. Needless to say, I did not get a refund.

I give it 5 STARS for an inexpensive $30 - $50 a night in town hotel. You seriously could not ask for better at this rate.

Luigi's is right on the main road so it's super convenient to everything but not 'restful'. The staff is great! The rooms are in the back so you don't get too much road noise and the view of the volcano is PERFECT. The hot water is hot, the water pressure is ample, bathrooms are clean. This restaurant on site is not cheap but the food is good and the beer is cold. My 3rd day there they let me just bring my own water and beer and stash it in the fridge behind the bar. They have an on site tour company that will take care of everything for you! Luigi's is right across the street from the Coin Op laundry (which is really a pay laundry because there is a local sitting inside who you pay $7 and she will wash/dry/folds your clothes for you)

The in room safe did not work.

Walked in $30 cash intending to stay 2 nights, ended up loving it so much I stayed 4 nights.

Pros: super friendly and helpful staff, cheap rooms ($30/night if you pay cash) and good food. Rooms have ac which works well. Cons: rooms are old and have the odor of a public bathroom. Beds are uncomfortable and have a strong musky, sweaty smell. We slept fully clothed on top of the covers. If you don't mind the smell, this is a cheap and friendly place to stay.
