The location was beautiful with a good view of sunsets nearby and view of clouds and mountains along and the staff were very nice people and served very very good food. The rooms are well maintained and the common area is aswell.

The owners are great people. It's a small, well run, inexpensive hotel. The food is good. Hot coffee, French toast, eggs pancakes. Simple. The buildings in Costa Rica are mostly all hand made, it's interesting to see the craftsmanship that we in the US take for granted. Beautiful wood for example. There's information on tours and a ping pong table. Quaint, simple hotel.

This is a fine place for a cheap stay. Shared bathrooms that are reasonably clean and a private, small room. Free wifi. Breakfast is free, variable, and of ok quality and quantity. However, there's no choices, so you're screwed if you have any dietary restrictions. This is a mom and pop place where the wife speaks no English and the husband is fluent. Not a problem, just something to be aware of. Anyway, I recommend it so long as you're looking for a hostel style with a private room.

The friendliest and cleanest hotel in the area. Highly recommended. And just across the street is an amazing place to watch the sunset over the deep canyon!

Awesome place. A hop from the city and yet much quieter. The owner is lovely and will give you good advice! Perfect place for Monteverde!

This is a must stay if you are in Monteverde. Exceptional attention from staff and owner, beautiful breakfast & cheap prices. Can't go wrong!
