This place feels like a palace. Extremely clean linens, free breakfast, and free WiFi. It's bear lots of stuff in the city and walking distance from a store. They have a nice kitchen and huge outdoor patio and pretty garden. The staff is very friendly and nice.

Close to the bus station if you need it. Doesn't have a shuttle as the site we saw stated.they call you a cab, then you pay.the cabbie whose going to try and rip you off. It was 8 miles from the airport to the hostel. And the cabbie wants to charge $20/pp which was $80. The employees DON'T want to help with this matter. There is no breakfast, only coffee. Otherwise, the rooms were VERY clean. The hammock area is VERY nice but, no views to speak of.

I stayed at this hostel when I first arrived in Costa Rica. The staff was incredibly helpful and were more than willing to advise on places to go and things to see while in the country and the Liberia area. I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone! Excellent place to stay!

The best hostel that me and my boyfriend stayed for our 3 weeks vacation in Costa Rica and Nicaragua.
It's clean, safe and friendly place. It's located close by a bus station and stores/restraunts.
The host is very helpful and organized. He gives you a map and explains town. It's one of only few hostels that they help you but not trying to selling you tours/shuttles for their commissions. They exchange from/to US dollar at the best rate that we had. I'd recommend to stay here for the first and last night trip at least if you are fly to Liberia😃

I stayed here twice so that should tell you all you need to know. Staff was great, patiently answered all my questions and gave great advice. The hostel is close to the bus station and is in a safe area with lots of food and shopping options nearby. DO NOT leave Liberia without going on the national park tour, it was my highlight of two weeks in Costa Rica!

This is a super safe and clean hostel with friendly staff. Its located close to both bus stations and a short walk to all things needed. Even a walmart close by.
There are 2 dorms and some private rooms. Prices are good. The kitchen and dining area are in a pretty little garden with Hammocks.

Very lovely, small hostel, we enjoyed our short stay a lot! Friendly staff, one of the cleanest hostel kitchens I have ever seen, also well equipped for preparing your own food, comfortable beds, clean bathrooms, nice backyard with hammocks and a super cute cat! And we had a little note on our bed welcoming us, that was an unexpected, nice gesture.

One of the nicest hostels we have stayed at. Very clean, nice and well equipped kitchen area including a small backyard with hammocks, good location (near the bus station and a huge supermarket), very comfortable beds, and friendly staff. We would definitely recommend it

The bed was very comfortable, however our room faced the busy street outside and was very lpyd at night. It woke us up really early in the morning. The hostel was one of the clean3sr we had been to. Very good for one night.

Great place to stay in Liberia! Rooms and bathrooms are clean, beds comfortable and they have A/C. Wifi is fast and the kitchen has everything you need and is very clean.
But probably the best thing about this hostel is all the information they provide! They really take their time to explain how to get to places with public buses and have a detailed information sheet for you. They also offer shuttle service to the nearby National Park.
    Very good value for money!

The place is super clean and well maintained. They have a nice garden in the back with hammocks and tables. The kitchen is also in the back with the garden. Super friendly dog wandering around the hostel. Downside of this place is that you don't have a key to enter the place, someone has to open the door for you and the curfew is at 11 p.m..

Extremely friendly and professional staff. Jesus and Shawn are both very helpful in finding you deals for tours in and around Liberia. Very clean and welcoming as described. Would stay here again when I visit CR.

On the morning I was to arrive my bus crashed and people got injured due to a landslide. I was stranded at the scene until 11AM when another bus came to take us back to La Fortuna. Immediately on return I emailed the property explaining my situation with photos and asked them to move my reservation to the next night. Their reply was bordering on mocking my situation. They informed me they wouldn't accept my request to move, but would reserve a bed the following night and charge me for both occasions. They said it was not their problem and they didn't want anymore emails from me unless I was definitely staying the following night and at this stage I had only sent one email. I was stunned and this really deserves punishment for the worst costumer service I've ever encountered. Please avoid!!

Located near the bus terminal, grocery store, and many sodas. Staff was super friendly and eager to help. Very safe and gated. Rooms were typical form style with clean sheets.

We were lost in the city when we met the host. If proposed us to drive us to its hostel if we wanted. We agreed. Best choice ever. I've been traveling for a while, and it is the first time I've met a host that much involved to make you have the best stay ever. As he has no more private room, he told us that we can have a shared one and he will try to put no one else with us as long as he can. He explain us so well how to access the differents activities you can do around liberia. Draw us a map, let us borrow a guide. Really awesome. Continue like this you are the best.

Hospedaje Dodero is clean, relaxing, and very close to the bus station, yet quiet. The owners were very friendly and would arrange tours to nearby attractions. The second time I stayed there, I was there for nearly a month. I kept adding nights to my stay because I couldn't decide where to go next and also because it was so comfortable staying there. Despite it being the high season and I would request additional nights at the last minute, they always found a way to find a bed for me. Hospedaje Dodero is great!
