Love the layed back atmosphere and no televisions in the rooms! For those addicted the screen, don't freak out too bad, they do have good, free wi-fi. Lots of outdoor activities located on the property. Love the scenery and location along the river. The rooms have air conditioning and I dig the rustic comfort. We will for sure be back. Oh and the BBQ buffet on Saturday night was amazing. The steak was so tender and tasty.
We stayed 2 nights and it was very pleasant. Breakfasts are good and we got a nice packed lunch when we went on an excursion to the Rincon de la Vieja National Park. We also ate lunch in the restaurant, but we were not impressed. We preferred to get a taxi into Liberia ($10 each way) for our evening meals.
The hot pools are very nice and we had them to ourselves. It's also great to sit around the swimming pool with the option of the pool bar available.
This is a very pretty lodge with several activities. Our favorite was the river float. Everyone has individual tubes, which are very sturdy. The river has some slow spots, but the guides paddle you through and help a lot. The rapids are a blast, and the dangerous spots have a guide to help you pass. It was SOOOO much fun. A highlight of our vacation.
They really need to start some maintenance in this place. Sunchairs for example, broken and dirty. Breakfast decent though
I didn't stay in their hotel. However I did take the River kayaking tour which was amazing. Lunch was served afterwards and it was really good. The guides were very good at what they do.
Complex with a nice pool area with a bar close by playing good music. The food at the restaurants was average and the service was not the best. This might have had to do with us being here on red holiday days. The rooms are clean with good air condition. There are a lot of activities at the complex and in the area and the volcano hike is recommended. Zip lining in monteverde is better than here.
We were looking for hot springs and lunch. There was a buffet. The food was good but I am not sure about cleanliness of entire lodge. The hot springs were ok. I was hoping for something a little more natural.
So much to do here. You can zip line, rock climb, rappel, hike, ride horses, kayak, tubing, etc and go to the natural spa after all the fun and have a mud bath then relax in one of three springs with different temperatures. This is a resort and an excursion destination and the views are amazing.
Great pool and close to some great activities like white water rafting etc.. Rooms aren’t great, but ok for the price.
Great tours and friendly staff..good food..not many people as in others parks
Comfortable cabins, wonderful breakfast location, very friendly and personable staff, great spa with river access. We gave the the rock climbing, zip lines and horse riding a miss - didn't appear in the best shape.
Great pool, but the internet connection in the residences lacks and the ambience in the restaurant for dinner could be worked on.
I was there for the spa and horse back riding. It was really nice.
The variety of activities here is notable. Kayaking, horseback riding, zip lining, rappelling/rock climbing, hot springs and volcanic mud bath. Traditional Costa Rican food is great. Staff helpful and friendly. The only criticism is the depth of the activities is moderate.
Friendly staff, comfortable cabins, and great pool w waterfalls and swim up bar. Breakfast buffet hit the spot and the restaurant overlooks the canyon. Didn't get a chance to do any adventures but really enjoyed my stay.
We rented car and it was much better than using an agency. Really eazy to fine, close to Liberia. We were only 4 people and had an amazing time.
My most frequented place. Pool, restaurant, cabins, zip lines, spa, nature and rock climbing. Food is usually great.
