  Awesome ! I've been going to the movement classes for a while now which are both fun AND challenging. I am always learning something new and pushing my body to get stronger. So grateful to have found such an amazing community :)

  Best BJJ training in the area for my son! Rome and Jared and the staff really have a love for the kids and BJJ and their fruit is on the tree! The hearts of these guys are HUGE!

  Absolutely amazing what these guys and gals are doing for the community! Their classes are fun, entertaining and simple. You can tell that the kids are learning, growing and are much more disciplined. I've seen kids arrive with no/little self confidence and after their 1st class you can already tell that there is a shift taking place within them. Thank you Hero Academy for for all of your amazing work!!!

  I moved from NYC and was looking for a quality place to train brazilian jiu jitsu in Tamarindo. HERO academy exceeded all my expectations. The instruction in the adult class is world class (while still being fun and friendly for beginners) and they even have a cool movement class to gain mobility and strengthen connective tissue.
  What stood out the most to me though is the work that Rome and Lola are doing with the kids in the community. Bjj in costa rica is fairly popular but I havent seen a single facility that provides this sort of service to the community. Kids that wouldnt otherwise be able to afford to train, gain priceless skills not just on the mats but also in life. Keep up the amazing work guys!

  Can't even begin to explain how incredible Hero Academy is! From the coaches' passion of jiu jitsu to their insanely strong desire to help children, who otherwise wouldn't get the motivation and guidance, Rome and the Hero Academy team are some of the most selfless people I've ever met. A non-profit company that truly wants the best for these kids. I continue to donate, as I can directly see how my contributions are helping. Makes me feel good, but more importantly, it's for the children! :)

  What a place! Nevet have i seen such attentive and caring people who strive to elevate children's lives and teach them to how be physically and more importantly, mentally stronger human beings. The academy has absolutely incredible coaches who support, love and nourish the children - they go above and beyond! The kids even get organic snacks so that they can feel great and recover faster. Love this place ❤

  A non profit organization thats helping kids without meens to set high goals in life and reach them.
