  Over the past few years the Fruteria has developed from a small seller of fresh local fruits and vegetables to a fullblown seller of local produce. They make smoothies, sell ice cream, and have cheese, yogurt and other fresh products from a local family's organic dairy farm. They also often have baked goods (bread, tapas, etc) that local home bakers bring in. Everything grows year round here, and the mountains provide more temperate growing climates than the hotter coastal plains. So the Fruteria is always well stocked with all kinds of fresh produce. The Fruteria is located on Pops St (Calle Lapa Verde) between the highway (ruta 27) and downtown Jaco; about one block towards downtown from the Oceana condo/hotel.

  Excellent selection. Prices similar to grocery store but fresh organic fruit veggies delivered direct from farms.

  *Lugar Bueno para comprar frutas y verduras. Espacioso y con productos frescos
  
  *Variedad en verduras. Con frutas de temporada que no hubiera imaginado ver aquí, cómo los mangostán o mamón chino que para temporada de estos encontré aquí.
  
  *Aunque hay variedad, es poca aún. Puede suplir las necesidades de la cocina diaria en legumbres o fruta. Pero para la cocina o gustos exigentes, pues queda un poco corta la frutería.
