Nice hotel with friendly staff at a great price. There is a restaurant attached and free breakfast with 4 choices on the menu. There is a pool, a small kiddy pool, and a kids playground.

We stayed at this hotel and had a nice experience. Rooms were quiet and roomy and service was good. The buffet breakfast isn't large or flashy, but fresh and filling. The rooms look a bit dated, but are comfortable, clean, and spacious. There is no jacuzzi, but pool is clean and convenient. The confines of the hotel are safe and secure. We often left our room door open while enjoying the bird sounds and soft breezes before preparing for departure and upon returning. Very peaceful environment. The adjacent El Rodeo Restaurant was very enjoyable. Not crowded (and we were there the "busiest week of the year"). The food was delicious. I had amazing talapia with garlic and my husband had chicken with peppercorn sauce. Dinner with drinks was $40, including tax/tip. The servings were large and I think we could easily have shared one plate. Definitely recommended. Our greatest pleasure was the hotel kitty. Apparently her name is gato, but we called her Cali. So sweet. Only if strongly invited does she visit - very politely. If you like cats, she is warm and loving. She helped us not miss our kitties at home so much.

We only stayed at this beautiful boutique hotel for one night upon our arrival into San Jose. The hotel is very charming and welcoming. It's located about a 10 minute drive from the airport ( a 10$ taxi fee). The grounds are beautiful, it is well kept and has a pool and a small gym area and a restaurant on the property.
We got in at 9 pm and the reception desk asked us whether we were hungry from our travels and offered us to help with delivery as the restaurant was closed for the evening. It was a great extra touch as by the time we would unpack and try to find out where we could eat most of the places would be closed.
Breakfast is included on a veranda overlooking the hotel grounds and the pool. It's really very peaceful and pleasant to relax in the warm sun. Breakfast was nice. Rooms were comfortable, although we found the mattress to be pretty hard. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

This is two seperate reviews. The hotel is old and outdated. I've left a review for that.

The Steak restaurant is sub-par and overpriced. Over $10 for a cup of potato soup and $30 for a T-bone that was barely warm when it arrived. Two little potatoes on the plate then rice and beans in bowls on the table. The best part was the warm bread.

Good food and plenty, a bit expensive in terms of others restraunts. Staff really good in steak house and breakfast restraunt. Rooms really good size and value, 2 issues wood polish smell strong when first arrive so open windows for a bit and a large room with a 24 inch tv just doesnt seem right.

Years ago was better, it appears that quality has decreased in many areas over the years.

Great service and I can only rate 4 because I didn't get a chance to have an entre. The appetizers we ordered for the table were over the top. Best appetizer platter I've had in a long time.

This is a great spot. Older hotel but really good. The staff is great. Wifi in the room is so so but excellent outside the room. They have a little outdoor business area that is great for getting work done. At the restaurant get one of the chicken dishes. You'll be happy.
