I am writing this two days before leaving this wonderful place. I have spent a month in EF Playa Tamarindo where I got to meet a lot of new people, both from the school and locals. Coming this far might be frightening but it is most definitely worth it. The staff is very welcoming and you quickly feel at home.
The campus itself has been renovated which allow the classrooms not only to be comfortable but also very modern. The teachers are very open minded and come from different areas of both Latin America and Spain. This allows them to teach us more about their culture, each in their own way. After class, or even during the break, you can go for a swim in the pool located in the middle of the school!
The activity team offers a large choice of different activities from surfing to exploring several magnificent beaches. I also had the chance to participate to three weekend trips: Monteverde which offers some of the longest zip lines in the world, to Manuel Antonio where the staff had planned for us a catamaran excursion.
If you would rather not travel too much once you have settled in, the closest beach is about 7 minutes walk away. It is also very close to the centre itself which, for those who live in apartments, can be very practical.

Great school and fantastic facilities! We spent 4 weeks in this great school and improved our Spanish at a great pace with thier communicative approach.
The activities to National Parks were super well organized and the accommodation at the EF residence was superb.
We strongly recommend EF Playa Tamarindo!!response / report this review
