We upgraded to a ocean view balcony room and couldn't have been happier. Clean and very comfortable! The free breakfast is delicious and offers ripe and sweet fruits as well as hot options. Since we were here during the week not on a weekend- it was quite, uncrowded and know that afew inside hotel areas closed. I would recommend!

Hotel Crocs is very beautiful, especially worth it for the ocean views and patio to enjoy your mornings!!!

Guarded parking, beautiful/clean hotel, within walking distance to downtown Jaco, only If you are okay with walking in heat for 10-20 minutes depending on your activity capability! You can also walk right out of pool area to the beach! Casino was nice! All of the restaurants were excellent—great service and food but a little pricey. The drinks are well worth the money, they are strong ;)!!! We do recommend going into Jaco and enjoying some of those restaurants as well.

95% of staff members speak English if you don’t speak Spanish.

Pros-bed was super comfy, beautiful room, nice view, clean, excellent amenities at hotel if needed, pool was amazing!

Cons-the humidity seemed to cause more ability for mold to grow—we noticed this in the bathroom caulking and some small mold spots on white lamp shades—so those things need cleaned up a bit.

We highly recommend staying here! We loved it and were sad to leave!

First of all I want to say that I very rarely write reviews but I took a lot of time to write this so that people do not have to experience the same kind of appalling service that I had to.

We booked our trip in late November and asked for an ocean view room and included some notes in our reservation about how we were celebrating our 5 year anniversary with them and had been there during all the chaos of their grand opening. No response. In late December I received an email from Crocs stating that there would be a "3rd Anniversary in Crocs Resort party featuring the International Music Presentation of Juan Magan" and that the tickets for attending would cost $70. I responded back with an email about how we were aware of the anniversary and that we were celebrating our own and asked about any deals for guests of the hotel. No response.

When we arrived at Crocs on Friday February 9th we asked the usual questions about getting upgraded because of our anniversary the lady told us that they were fully booked on account of the 3rd Anniversary Party. It wasn't until we started asking some more questions that she let us know that the pool would be closed to the public after 1PM on Saturday and people would not be allowed on the pool deck afterwards without a ticket for the concert.

I asked if she could offer us any kind of discount or deal as we obviously paid a lot of money to stay at Crocs. She let us know that there were absolutely no discounts for hotel guests and that we would have to be out of the pool by 1PM on Saturday in preparation for the event. After talking with her supervisor on the phone she gave us a take it or leave it response of: "we can refund your stay" basically telling us to f*** off. I decided it would be impossible to try to find another hotel for Friday night so I asked her to give us some time to see if we could find a hotel for Saturday and that'd we'd come down and let them known about refunding us. We scrambled up to our room and as I took out my laptop to start looking for other hotels for Saturday night my girlfriend noticed the pool from our Juliette balcony window: there were construction workers building scaffolding yellow caution tape over half the walkways and a stage blocking the beach.

I finally found us another hotel for Saturday and we asked the front desk to refund us for the last night. We got to the pool and noticed that half of it was blocked off for some reason there were over almost 100 float toys in the water and when we went up to the outside bar they told us they were closed and to go inside to get a drink on a Friday afternoon in the middle of busy season! On top of all this there were construction workers pounding away building seating above the water and sound guys testing speakers and instruments with literally minutes of random buzzing sounds.

Later into the night we were surprised by the sounds of insanely loud EDM and various strobe lights being tested as late as 11:30PM.

When we got to the pool the next morning we noticed that 90% of the patio seating was stowed away and all the construction workers had been hard at work the previous night: there was a giant black divider down the whole pool! You had to go back inside of the hotel just to get to the pool bar. All of the lawn chairs from the beach were gone there was a black temporary fence surrounding the beach area: to get to the ocean you had literally walk through a cut out black netting.

Crocs Resort did an absolutely horrible job communicating the logistics about this party. They inconvenienced paying customers and did not communicate on ticket purchase that half of the pool would be closed off for two days prior to the event. Not allowing paying hotel guests access to the pool is the most unprofessional behavior I’ve ever experienced at a hotel in any country.

If you're going to stay in Jaco and want a "luxury" experience stay literally anywhere else because Crocs Casino Resort does not care about their customers.

Beautiful pool and gorgeous ocean view from my room. The coffee shop is excellent. Besides that, I'd avoid the other "luxury" trappings of this hotel: the casino, Mediterranean bistro, sports bar, etc. You can get all those things in Las Vegas. You're in Costa Rica: immerse yourself in the country! ONE MORE THING.don't order the hamburger. They add too much salt to it. Stick with the ceviche, which they prepare perfectly.

Been to Costa Rica twice 2016 and 2015. This is the best hotel in Jaco. No other hotel comes close. A resort like hotel that competes or exceeds hotels in the U.S. Food is great, service is excellent, and casino is the best in town and possibly in costa rica. Pool is unlike any other. Steps from the beach and great surfing.

Great casino, friendly staff, good food and top notch gaming. I would highly recommend. This is by far the nicest casino in Costa Rica. The pit bosses, dealers and staff are top notch. A definite must stop!
