What a lovely place!
We had a great time in our bungalow. Everything was clean. Best breakfast we have ever had! Joe & Chris were great hosts. We enjoyed every minute! The best thing was the nature right in front of our bungalow. We saw 4 sloths, iguana, monkeys, poison dart frogs and more in the morning you hear the howler monkeys :-)

I almost never write a review, but this place was rather a trap. It is way over rated and over priced, it is of no value. Frankly, you do not get at all what you pay for.

My husband and I went there for our 5th anniversary, we checked the photos, read all positive reviews about this place and were super excited to celebrate our anniversary in such an exotic place, we booked for three nights hoping to stay at a simple charming place.Unfortunately we had one of the worst experiences ever.

To be objective, the place is neat, well maintained and super clean, yet it is so full of negative energy, it is dull and has no life. For a series of errors, we left this place feeling so dissatisfied. During the first night the mosquito net was broken, it had two big holes, we were attacked by huge mosquitos, it was impossible to sleep that night!. During the second and third days, the hot water was not running, we had to struggle to get hot shower. When complained to the owner, they were very passive, they merely said that they will try to fix the water. This is not to mention how the owners themselves were utterly stingy, cold and intrusive, they try to sell their place as a boutique hotel, yet they are so ungenerous and inhospitable. On the first morning and over breakfast the other guests knew every thing about me and my husband, imagine the owner shared with them all of our PERSONAL information!!

After expressing our frustration with the unpleasant experiences that we endured, the owner promised to give us a discount, yet an hour prior check out time, at 11:00am, the owners started to chase us out!!! they refused to give us any discount---- basically they lied to us.

I truly do not advise this place, in the same area there are multiple other options that have better interior design, upscale facilities (i.e swimming pools, spa,yoga classes etc) and more positive energy. Lucky, for almost the same rate, after this place we landed on another location where we happily stayed for four days.
