  It is encouraging to read these excellent reviews to find how consistent this dental team performs over the years. I too procrastinated for years over much needed dental work until, while in Costa Rica, I was convinced to visit Colina Dental. In a two day time span these extraordinary professionals restored my teeth with nearly pain free dentistry! Have you ever had a tooth extracted literally pain free? When was the last time a Doctor actually cleaned your teeth? I echo other reviews that they have not only proven to be first-class, excellent dental professionals--but also incredibly kind, gracious, warm and caring individuals. From the dental assistants to the impressive array of dental specialists, to Ana our wonderful patient coordinator. Honestly, I was nervous at first, but felt completely taken care of every step of the way.
  Everything was explained to me simply and clearly by the Doctors and the Staff who attended to my care.
  
  Thank you again Dr. Gutierrez, Dr. Clare, Dr. Gillen, and your encouraging Assistants, my dental care was like none I have ever experienced!

  I, like many, procrastinated for years over much needed dental work until suddenly, the zigzag of life brought me here to Colina Dental. For whatever reason I immediately trusted them, and they did not let me down. In one week, these extraordinary professionals restored me to health. They have not only proven to be first-class, excellent dental professionals--but also incredibly kind, patient, warm and loving. From the dental assistants to the impressive array of dental specialists, to Ana our wonderful patient coordinator--I felt utterly taken care of every step of the way.
  
  Everything was explained to me simply and clearly by Dr. Madrigal, who has 20 plus years of experience as a periodontist. She has an incredible hand, and performed a lot of surgery on me with great precision, and without causing me any pain. It's been a wonderful, deeply humane medical experience. Have you ever felt the urge to hug your dentist? You will here! The icing on the cake is Costa Rica, a most beautiful country and culture.

  Incredible. Way beyond my expectations, I'm not sure that I want to trust US dentists any more. My dentist Dr. Maricarmen Gutierrez was very friendly she stopped to sit and talk to me in the waiting room. She was never in a rush and very thorough. She showed me everything as she was doing it and explained everything to make sure I understood. She is a very sweet lady. Best experience I've ever had with dentists and I highly recommend. I will be back.

  Absolute BEST dental care I have ever received !!! Look online as I did and you will see why Colina is the best! Their staff of surgeons ,doctors, assistants are the most proffesional,dedicated, hard working,devoted people I have ever had work on me.The main reason I chose Colina in the beginning,,was their on site ,ultra modern up to date 3-D Lab.Located upstairs .I needed root canal and crown work,, they can have your teeth ready the next day ,amazing top quality work,,you won't find better work or staff !!!Be aware their are other clinics in the San Jose area,,but they may send you out to other clinics, for work , whereas here everything can be accomplished under one roof ! I hope to return for more work in the future! Ms Anna Alfaro,, patient coordinator,can help with great English! Uber service is great and inexpensive here i recommend once in San Jose or Escazu,,helps if you know some spanish, alot of Uber drivers only speak spanish.I really love the San Jose area beautiful place!!!!! 5+ stars

  I came to Colina Dental to get a consultation for gum tissue grafting, since I had really bad gum recession. I had already done my upper gum grafting done in the US when I had a implant placed, but since so much work was done that day the doctor told me I should wait to get my lower grafting done to decrease swelling.
  
  I then left to Costa Rica to visit family and I became curious what costs were here. My mom and husband encouraged me to get a consultation despite my nervousness about having a procedure done abroad.
  
  I'm so happy I took a leap and came to Colina Dental. When I first walked into the clinic I felt like I was in the US. Customer service was amazing and being a nurse I could see they had top notch equipment and their clinic is beautiful.
  
  I had the pleasure of having my consultation with Dr. Madrigal who has 20 plus years of experience as a periodontist. I instantly felt a rapport her and I loved loved how she educated me! She used to be a professor and made it simple for me to understand my options, she answered all my questions and never made me feel rushed. I never got this teaching in the US and my visit felt rushed in the US.
  
  Dr. Madrigal recommended I have the alloderm insert done for my gums since my recession was so bad versus my own tissue. I agreed. Alloderm is the same material used in the United States. After a cleaning she did for me, I scheduled my procedure the same day and I could not be more happy with the care and follow up she has given me.
  
  I can't stress enough how happy I am with her! Dr. Madrigal took the time to educate me on all I asked, pre-op, post op, interim questions, and gave me her cell number and said just call me if anything comes up. I felt cared for and not just like a money figure.
  
  The cost in the US are rediculous, I highly recommend Colina Dental! Practices are top notch and the care is excellent!! Take a leap of faith and open your mind, I was scared but I am so happy I did it!! I also saves so much money for more vacations to visit my family in Costa Rica! Feeling thankful!

  Our family had the most wonderful experience with Dr. Ana Lucia Azofeifa. We recently traveled to San Jose or one full week to receive treatment and it was a top-notch experience from start to finish. We stayed at the nearby Hotel Costa Verde and traveled easily from our hotel to Colina Dental. Everything was done professionally, the facility was beautiful and the costs were extremely reasonable. Our son, who is adopted from China, needed major dental work that would have cost at least 70% more in the US. We are so thankful to Dr. Ana Lucia Azofeifa and her amazing staff for taking such good care of our needs!

  Un adecuado trato del médico y asistente, pero tuve dos temas administrativos que no me gustaron para nada. 1. Cuando pedí aplicarme cobro con tasa cero a seis meses, no lo hicieron y me cobraron uno de los monto de un solo; 2. en una de las visitas tenía que pagar solo $85,00, pero sorpresa la que me llevo cuando veo que aplicaron 3 veces el mismo cobro; dos cobrados y uno fue rechazado. Ya veremos si hay diligencia en retornarme mi dinero.
  HICE EL ANTERIOR COMENTARIO. DEBO AGREGAR QUE DÍAS LUEGO LOS SEÑORES DE LA CLÍNICA ESTUVIERON AL TANTO DE QUE EN EFECTO NO SE ME COBRARA MÁS QUE UN SOLO PAGO. EL ERROR CONFORME SUPE FUE QUE ME PASARON LA TARJETA HASTA TRES VECES; EL SISTEAM REGISTRÓ DOS Y UNO LO CANCELÓ; PERO FINALMENTE SE LOGRÓ DEJAR UN SOLO COBRO. EL INTERÉS PORQUE ESE TEMA ME FUERA RESUELTO, LO AGRADEZCO A LA CLÍNICA.

  Excellent service. Friendly and welcoming staff. It was easy to book an appointment with them via email. They gave me all the information I needed and a quote.
  It was easy to get to from the airport with an Uber (taxi was going to be almost double) and it was only around $11us.
  I will deff return to get future dental work done there and I highly recommend it if you are looking for an affordable and professional clinic.
