Two adults, two kids had a great dinner here last night. No reservation required, and credit card was accepted. 2-for-1 mango daiquiris were yummy. Shrimp in the taco salad was delicious, and the salad was large. Ground beef and chicken tacos were good and chicken quesadilla was more than enough for my 9-yr-old daughter. I would recommend this restaurant.

Food was so-so. I had the shrimp quesadilla which was tasty and the sangria which was gross. My husband had the enchiladas which he didn't finish (literally never happens) and a jalapeno margarita which was yummy. Food/drinks seem to be hit or miss but the service was some of the slowest I've ever experienced in my life. Don't go here hungry because you'll be waiting a while!

We had an enchilada plate that tasted like it would in a commercial center in the middle of Connecticut (not talking about Chipotle Mexican Grill here, which is actually good). Beans tasted like they came from a tin, the texture of the rice was subpar, pico de gallo and avocados were alright. The worst were the enchiladas themselves: standard ground beef in a freezer tasting tortilla with a 1 inch mush of cheese on top of the middle tortilla - not grated cheese.
Bottom line, the food was bad. We heard the margaritas are good.

Once we arrived in Samara we stopped in at Coco’s to have lunch. The bartender/server was unpleasant and seemed like we were inconveniencing her. My spanish is conversational so it wasn’t a language barrier that her attitude stemmed from. It’s also important to note that she had about 7 patrons in the entire establishment, definitely not an overwhelming situation.
However, the food was good so I decided to go back a couple days later and give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she was having a bad day (as we all do sometimes) also hoping there would be another bartender/ server.
Unfortunately, my second experience was worse than the first with this staff member. I arrived solo this time and sat at the bar. I greeted her with a smile and a hello. She looked at me and tossed a menu down in front of me. I won’t go into every detail of her nasty disposition.
The owner was there and we spoke briefly of her attitude. He was agreeable and mentioned he was trying to work with her.
Bottom line, food is good but not that good to put up with that staff member. If I wanted attitude like that for no reason, I would have just stayed in the states.response / report this review -

We went in for the happy hour from 5-7 pmThe "monster margaritas" weren't that tasty and 3000 colones (a little less than $6). Probably will go with a different drink in the future!
