    Great Vibe
We had a great time at Lo Que Hay. One of the owners, Megan, could not have been nicer and friendly. We had chicken nachos and steak quesadillas - both were excellent. The restaurant is right on the beach at Playa Samara, a gorgeous setting. They had a great live band the night we were there, and they played classics from the 60's, 70's and 80's. They have specials there so make sure to check for them !

The food here is great. Really from tacos to burgers to seafood pasta, daily specials - everything is really good. Fun cocktails and you cannot beat the view!!
BUT it takes forever.like, go before you are hungry.
The servers are nice but it really takes way to long for food.

Fine. Great on the beach location. Service was good. Prices good. Grilled guacamole was very good. Fajitas taco was excellent. Can’t complain at all.

The staff is very attentive and informative. I'd highly recommend this spot if you enjoy good energy, food, music, the water and a good time.

Nice beach front patio. The food was seasoned well but cooked to death. Both entrees were beautiful pieces of seafood subjected to tourture by some sadistic person that has no business being in control of an oven!

I mean that in the nicest way possible. The tuna steak was nearly fish jerky and the shrimp were so over cooked they were nearly white with terror and coiled into a solid mass. The salads were served dry, no dressing. The service was on par with the food. No water, no check back for drink refresh.

The prices are a bit lower than surrounding beach front restaurants but I recommend paying a few bucks more and not wasting otherwise perfectly good food.

It's a beach casual restaurant & bar with a relaxed vibe. Food is good and price is reasonable. Service is not fast, natural drinks are just OK and plates lack presentation. Pet friendly with a leash. Non smokers be aware that smoking is allowed. Cash Only.

Had the Tico breakfast and cafe con leche, it was delicious! Great view, friendly servers. Nobody’s in a hurry, so don’t you be either.

Maybe the cook had a off night, but we thought the food was really bad. The chicken wings were fried way to fat and the meat was also more fat than meat. The location is wonderful and the terrace was romantic.

Great location right on the beach. Easy parking. Nice waiters. Relaxing ambiance. Good specials. Good value for the price. Big portions. We had the red snapper for 7,500 colones, and the tuna steak for 7,000. It was delicious!

Food is delicious here for a fairly reasonable price, and the view can't be beat. The one drawback is that service can be kinda slow.

Beachfront. Watch the waves roll in and enjoy some decent food and great drinks. If you spend enough time on Samara beach you will migrate to Lo Que Hay and there is nothing wrong with that.

Very calm, beautiful spot right on the beach serving nice breakfasts loaded with fresh fruit. Morning chillaxing at its best!

It's easy to spend too much, because it's so pleasant to hang out here and it's in the center of the Samara beachfront strip.

Recommend this restaurant. Good place for vegetarian/vegan. Friendly staff and great ocean view. It's reasonably priced compared to neighboring venues.
