We loved staying at Casa de Luz, the view and the house were amazing. Great staff and so perfect for a large group of friends and family. Our friends were married down on the beach and it couldn't have been better!

Perfect getaway for a large family group. Fantastic location and view with the pool and beach at your doorstep. Great restaurants, night life and outdoor activities nearby - for all ages. Would recommend for any family or big group!

My wife and I got married on the beach at this estate. We had 24 people stay in the house and it was the best experience of our lives. Aly was the person in charge of the house and handled all of our arrangements while in Costa Rica. She coordinated excursions, transportation to and from the airport, and even coordinated these events for our other guests staying around us in different locations. The house keepers that come in daily were lovely and insisted on helping us with everything from laundry, dishes, and cleaning the house floor to ceiling daily. The house even comes with an optional chef for whichever meal you please. They come in and prepare the meal of your choice and then clean up when they are done. The house has its own section of beach which was very private and had enough seating for stargazing every night. The infinity pool was great and close enough the ocean to have a great view while you swim. I would highly recommend renting this house or if you are lucky enough to buy it it’s perfect.

I have stayed in many places, throughout many lands and peoples. This one place, however, blew my mind off. Literally. Ultra-luxury, comfort, esthetics, a beach in my backyard, cleanliness, service -- I'm still speechless; I rub my eyes a little to see if this sunbeam of a residence, were no illusion, but the solid sense of the pictures we've taken, is a sobering certainty.
Without Casa de Luz, Costa Rica would be a mistake.

This was my 2nd stay at Casa De Luz. I find this house to be a great blend of the service that you would expect at a 4 star hotel and the comfort of being in your place. First the location is fantastic. It’s on the beach. The view from the pool can’t be beat. At the end of the day I would often just spend an hour or more hanging out in the pool looking at the beach as the sun sets. You can walk to town along the beach, never even stepping on a road. To be fair, to comfortably go swimming you do have to walk ~10min in either direction from the house. I like to run and I could do beach runs in either direction. Running south and crossing the river I had twice had a stretch of beach all to myself as far as I could see.

One thing that really made staying at the house great was Aly, the concierge. Not only could she recommend the best tours but she made sure you got the best guides on the best tours. She arranged for tour pickups, rental car drop offs etc at the house. If anything isn’t going right she follows through to straightens it out. For food we used all the options, we did cooking ourselves several nights, had a chef come in and cook for us another night, had food delivered from the local restaurants and of course went into Tamarindo for several delicious dinners at restaurants she recommended. We also went next door for tasty and relaxed breakfast at the Sueño del Mar B&B.

This last time I stayed in the pool casita. The bed faces the ocean through a large glass doors and you could hear the waves breaking as you went to sleep. Couldn’t think of a more ideal place.

Between the concierge, pool, optional cook, along with the daily maid service, we had all the services you would get at hotel and with all the comfort and space of being in your own house on the beach. Just loved it.

Casa de Luz was just the best place I have stayed for blending location, service, space, beauty and comfort. I definitely will go back.
