Absolutely wonderful ride! Highly recommend! The horses are loved and well taken care of. As novice riders, my husband and I felt safe at all times and thoroughly enjoyed our 2 1/2 hour beach ride with Orianna. If you're considering going, do it!

I have ridden horses for 26 years, owned horses, and showed for years. My husband has gone a few trail rides and taken a few lessons in preparation. They took us on a trip of a lifetime. We did the two day tour to Punta Mona which was awesome because it was for more experienced riders and we got to bond with our horses. The horses are super well cared for and healthy. We can’t wait to go back and do it again!!!

The horses and the staff of Carribe Hourse Tours are so wonderful! We had blast getting to know our guide, Celeste, she was delightful! We shared plenty of laughs and big smiles with her. She and the horses were so friendly! If you are looking for a great day with fun, adventure and beauty, this is for you! I couldn’t be happier with our experience!

Had a great private tour with Celeste! She told me a lot about the wildlife and we did some fun runs with the horses. Also the swimming in the sea was really great fun! The horses are taken good care of and are enjoying the tours (especially the swimming) themselves. A must-do for horse lovers visiting Puerto Viejo!

To us it was a dream come true being able to ride a lovely horse through the jungle and on the beach. As close to paradise as you can get! Without riding experience. Patient and kind instructors.

We had a great time on the 2 hour jungle and beach ride. The owners were very friendly and the horses were clearly well cared for and loved. We have horses at home, so this really matters and stands out to us. The ride was beautiful and our guide pointed out many animals and plants. We stopped half way and got a drink from a local beach bar which was an unexpected perk of the tour. Would highly recommend for both beginners and more experienced riders (we trotted and cantered some but the guide always asked first.)

This was our first time riding horses so you could say we were extreme beginners and kind of anxious from the start. Jimmy made us feel comfortable around the horses and gave us a quick lesson on how to control the horses before we left. We chose the 1.5 hour tour through the jungle and on the beach. We rode down 4 of the beaches along the coast of Puerto Viejo while going in and out of the jungle the entire time. He was knowledgeable on the wildlife and plants in the area and made sure to stop and show us a sloth sleeping in a tree! The horses were very well behaved and we rode at a slow/relaxing pace the whole time - I'm sure you could go faster if you are more experienced. Overall, I would recommend this tour to anyone! It was a beautiful and affordable way to see everything the beaches and jungle have to offer - Jimmy even took pictures for us! I would recommend call for reservations a day in advance, as they have to feed and prepare the horses 2 hours in advance of the tour!

Note: This was hard for us to find but it's actually quite simple. If you map to "Caribe Horse Riding Club", it will bring you up a long dirt road to the stables which is NOT where you want to go as you cannot take the horses down from here. Go one road further and follow signs to the Jaguar Rescue Center. When you pull in, the Jaguar Rescue Center and parking will be on your right. Keep driving straight past the center all the way down until the road ends (about 1 minute further). You will see cows on your left and the road will end near a house. This is where Jimmy will meet you and you may see horses tied up on the fence waiting if he is not there yet.

Awesome ride, super beautiful places and super nice guide. You can tell both Jimmy and his wife love their horses, which makes the experience all the better! Recommended!
