Beautiful location. Great food. Only problem was there were lots of flies. Very annoying. Not sure if it was because we were near some grassy/vegetation or what exactly but this was the only place during our weeklong trip where they were that bad. We still loved the food though.

My favorite restaurant in all of Mal Pais & Santa Teresa. Such a gorgeous location and the food was so delicious!! Friendly staff as well. It’s beautiful during the day AND at night. A must visit!

Great spot, paradise view with great potential. We were told to go there by someone who lives in Santa Teresa since 10 years. But that night, chef wasn't working so they can't offer anything else than Cevice and Nachos. Our waiter was visibly not experienced, and couldn't serve us to the restaurant's known reputation Would suggest to call before going since they seem to be unstable.

Today we were seated on the beach and treated to the loveliest lunch and drinks of my life. I encountered one of the employees here on the road when we had an accident and he was quick to offer help. Today we had lovely conversation with our waiter. I am sad to think that soon I will be very far away and will not be able to walk here and enjoy the atmosphere, food and conversation. I was warned not to eat ceviche on my travels. I am happy to say that not only have I eaten ceviche here, it is the best I have had.

Disregard all of the negative reviews others posted. This place is amazing period!! The food was extremely delicious, very relaxing atmosphere, employees were very attentive and friendly. If you love coffee, you must try there coffee! A must! If you're in town, visit this place. You won't be disappointed!!

Very disappointing. We came here one night and food was good. So much so that we came for New Year’s Eve and the food was suddenly terrible. They must have let the chef take the night off for New Years. We tried to enjoy our meal in any case - until they brought me a fish soup with fish that had clearly gone bad. I didn’t want to send it back but I felt they should know to avoid future issues, so I let the waiter know and said I would still pay for it and not to worry.
The waiter came back and said the kitchen tasted the soup and decided it was fine. I was taken aback and reminded him I hadn’t actually sent it back and that I was just letting them know out of courtesy. He then proceeded to ask me if I’ve ever had fish in Costa Rica before, acted extremely condescending, and told me about how fresh their fish was and that there was no way their fish could be bad.
As we were leaving the entire staff who had been so friendly on our way in barely acknowledged us as we tried to pay, offered no condolences or attempts to make sure all was right. In fact, they acted insulted! Terrible, awkward experience on a special night. Steer clear and go to Mary’s instead (and get the ribs!)response / report this review -

The food and service was very tasty. We had the tropical cervice which was very tasty and with a try. My wife had the curried shrimp and they were delicious. I went for the fried fish which satisfied my desire of fried whole fish.

Best food my partner and I have had in Costa Rica so far. The Ceviche Tropical - classic ceviche but with coconut milk and fresh mango, topped with avocado and served with plantain chips - is to die for, we came back after tidal pool adventures and ordered it again later that day. The Casados Del Mar was perfectly seasoned and executed, very filling. Oh yeah, and a view of the surf breaking on rocks of Mal Pais to boot was utter perfection.
Miss this spot and you might as well eat a soggy old burger in the dark on your hostel bed.response / report this review -

My husband and I got engaged and married here. It is a magical spot and the food is just amazing! The owner is a very nice lady too. Definitely recommended!
