Cheap beer and friendly staff. Didn't try the food but it smelled great. Multiple staff were fluent in English and Spanish.

I met the owner Fernando on the first day of a solo trip to Costa rica when I went there for breakfast. Very friendly! Delicious food. Casual atmosphere. Bar serves local beer, wine, and cocktails. Small stage for music. I knew no one and they made me feel like family right away. English and Spanish spoken. Frequented by other English speaking locals.
