I really enjoyed my stay here, the rooms are big and confortables, mine with the balcony too. Everybody was kind and helpful, they also help me finding the best way to go to Costa Rica and arranged a tour for me.

Bedbugs! Bettwanzen. We got bitten by these bastards in two different rooms. These bites itch for days. And soothing lotions are expansive here on Bocas. Worst of all, both managers refuse to talk about the issue to us in person, hoping they can suppress the problem with that behaviour. Any recompensation? Money back? Forget it. The owners are too stubborn for that.

2 nights stay, we were planning to stay one more.
But the beds are full of BEDBUGS. We stayed in room 3, dark and smelling - then we switched to room 10, i got heavily bitten again, even saw them crawling on the sheets at night. The owner was not willing to talk to us, although he seemed very nice at the beginning. Looks like as soon as it comes to money, people change completely.

I got bitten badly by bedbugs here. Luckily I don't think there were too many as it seems they are trying to deal with what seems to be an on going problem for them. I was staying in Room 10. The other rooms didn't seem to have problems. So maybe if you have to stay here make sure you leave your luggage and such outside while you search the room for bedbugs and signs of bedbugs.

Bed bugs!
The staff is nice and the place is relatively clean but it's full of bed bugs. I got bitten badly so as few other guests. Beware!response / report this review -

Great vibes, quaint hostel, awesome location, breakfast included, AC in dorms, lockers in rooms, no hot water but it's all good cause it's hot here

Great staff, great location, clean rooms, cheap and pancakes for breakfast . Great Hostel would recommend to everybody visiting bocas town. Keep it up!

Goede hostel met redelijke bedden, wordt redelijk schoon gehouden en receptie is altijd vriendelijk. Ontbijt is niet heel goed maar wel inclusief. In de midden van de winkelstraat met genoeg supermarkten in de buurt. Ook restaurantjes en barretjes zijn vanaf deze locatie goed te bezoeken.

En el centro de Bocas town se encuentra este hermoso edificio de más de 100 años de historia, construido al mejor estilo arquitectónico afroantillano gingerbread; actualizado y disponiendo de todas las comodidades!,
Ambiente familiar y relajado; limpio y agradable.
Calipso Hostel es un Hostal diferente, dispone de baño privado y aire acondicionado en todas las habitaciones . Se encuentra en la calle principal de Isla Colón, cerca de todos los restaurantes, bares, discotecas y tour operadores.
Te ofrecen un desayuno de café y pancakes gratuïto en las mañanas; y evidentemente disponen de WiFi en todo el Hostal.
Tienen balcones a la calle donde te puedes relajar y ver pasar la gente en la calle principal de esta maravilloso pueblo.
Calipso Hostel es la mejor opción para quedarse en el pueblo de Bocas!
