It's a great place for San Jose standards. Very good food and wallet-friendly prices. I saw someone here said that the shrimp pasta was doggy, but I had it, it was delicious and didn't give me any stomach problems. Very nice staff.

Food is excellent and location is nice. Service could be a little more personal. Lots of choice on the menu. Pizzas are crusty. Good choice of desserts.

The complimentary olive bread was great!
Tried the house sangria, everyone in my party enjoyed it.
For dinner I had the penne pasta with shrimp. It was pretty good, but my stomach hurt a little bit after dinner.

Ambient relaxed stylish family restaurant with choice of indoor and outdoor seating and beautiful tiled tables. Extremely friendly and quick service and large choice available from their menu and chilled out music in the background creates a welcoming atmosphere. Found the mint lemonade and fruit punch extremely refreshing. The food was ok, portions were huge and generous. The patacones and tempura were interesting to try. The grilled chicken sandwich was decent and came with a side salad and fries and very filling.

Pretty romantic atmosphere, but definitely overrated and overpriced. The food either tasted salty/too creamy. Wouldn't recommend since there are so many better, more affordable restaurants around!

Large menu, good food and service, though a bit more expensive than café de los deseos.

Lunch special does taste like cardboard and a spoon of banana smoothie to finish your lunch. Thank God, I didn't go for their main entrees. I have been scammed Lunch specials was supposed to be 4,500 colones, but everything is separate orders. And paid almost double. Stay away! Overated!

Cafe Mundo has been always popular. Their food is good (not excellent), good portions, great for people whit open mind; it is popular with foreigners, locals with education and people from the LGB (*not T) community. Seafood and drinks are good here.
