Beautiful place, love the views and friendliness of staff, only problem is close to main road, but views of the beach takes it away

The hotel is good. The staffs are very nice and kind. It's just in front of beach. There are some disadvantage: too close to road. It's noisy. There is no hot water to shower.

Lovely place. Very clean and secure. The price includes a two course breakfast with beverages & coffee, on premises pool and beach access. The owner/manager will give you recommendations on destinations and transportations. It’s family run and the staff were delightful and so nice! Thank you Hotel Mar y Mar!

Je to uzasny misto velmi prijemny personal,restaurace,obchudek,vyhled na more. Pri jizde mestem vjedete do dvorku hotelu a jako by jste byli v jinem svete.Prijeli jsme sem od jezera Arenal a okoli je vetsi mesto, ale ubytovani je velmi hezke.

You know, Punta Arenas isn't the most beautiful place in Costa Rica, but it isn't all that bad either. When we first drove by Mar y Mar we thought to ourselves, what have we done. Then walked in and were quite surprised how quaint this little oasis was. Incredibly friendly staff. Rooms were fine other than no hot water, but water was warm enough regardless. Very cozy and quaint.

It's a good concept for a hotel and they seemed to have a good overall idea of the hotel business entails except two fundamental issues every hotel should have covered and that's the BED and the smell of the room. Everything else you can work with but the bed was like sleeping on a cement block and the room smelt like cleaning bleach(I went into two rooms and both was of bleach). It was such a cute little space and had I not been sooo exhausted I would have stayed somewhere else. I think the owners should spend a night in one of the rooms to work out the kinks. The rooms did have a/c, soap, towels and additional seating. Definitely a pass on this one until those two items are resolved.
