By far the most welcoming, accommodating, and friendly group of people. Couldn't have expected a better place to spend our limited time in this beautiful country! Thanks for making our day one for the books! This experience makes it hard to imagine not coming back to Cista Rica if only just to hang with you guys. Karaoke and BBQ next time for sure!

We went to Tamarindo for our honeymoon and our hotel paired us with Black Stallion for zip lining. The owner, Alex, picked us up from our hotel and brought us to his estate. The instructors were very nice and helpful. There were about 3 instructors who went through the course with you, which was nice. Our group was small and that made our experience very personable. We had a great time and would go to see Alex and his crew again!

I meant to write this review when we returned home from Costa Rica back to Cleveland about a year ago. Black Stallion and Alex left us with such a great memory of a wonderful evening in Costa Rica. My husband and I had read great reviews and love barbecue so figured we would try it out. Every person working and every customer here was extremely friendly. It is a very inviting atmosphere! At the end of the evening, Alex offered to drive some of the guests that were still left hanging at the restaurant up to the mountain where we had an amazing experience to say the least. My husband and myself, as well as some visitors from out west who we enjoyed the time with had a great time together. We can not thank Alex, and his staff enough for sharing his place and the experience with us. We will be next time in Costa Rica! It is especially a must with a small or large group.

Alex is a great host. My husband and I went because our grown children had been there and raved about the BBQ (and my husband is vegetarian and also enjoyed it). So we didn't go zip lining or horseback riding, but we had an amazing time hanging out at the pool and meeting some very interesting people. The food, the company .well worth going.

We are on our wedding anniversary in Tamarindo. We booked online a week prior and had confirmation that we would be picked up at our hotel today for zip lining and bbq. They never showed up and did not bother call despite having recieved our, PAYMENT, name and phone number. Very unprofessional and irrresponsible. Customer pays for service, Black Stallion Echo park provides nothing.

AWESOME! Horseback Riding, Zip Lining, Barbecue
You arrive at a wonderfully private estate in the jungle of Tamarindo with beautiful imported black stallion statues decorating the property. Then you arrive at an outside property with a pool, bar, and very welcoming "staff". The "staff" made us feel like we were being hosted by a friend as soon as week got there.
We were geared up for zip lining with was a very cool outdoor truck that brought us up to a stunning view point where our first zip line platform was. It was the coolest feeling with flying through the jungle from mountain to mountain. We got amazing footage since their helmets had a fixture that fit my GoPro camera. The guides made us feel very safe and were a ton of fun to be around.
Next we went horseback riding. Definitely bring some long pants if you have sensitive skin. The trailers and view points were breathtaking. The horses were very calm but also cantered well. Get Jessie if you can. He was my horse and rode very well.
Once we got back we were greeted by a perfect pool, ice cold water, some mixed drink and snacks. Alex, the owner, has become part of our group and would recommend this place in a heart beat!
After the evening we came back for the best barbecue on planet earth! (sorry mom). The ribs, the potatoes, the chorizo, and the ICE CREAM COOKIES!!!! SOOOOOO GOOD!!!! And the place has the cutest dogs and cats that we refused to stay away from!

It was absolutely terrible. I was horse back riding with no helmet and the horse took off i fell off and my foot got caught in the stirrup. By back is completely torn up,and my grandfather is traumatized.

Fantastic BBQ and Alex is the best host!! Cannot fault our trip to black stallion. It was my first time horse riding and the guides made it so easy and fun for me. When we arrived back for the BBQ I had one of the BEST meals. The mango sauce is my favourite. I can't wait to go backLoved it thanks guys!! 😊

We had a fun time on the zip lines with Marcos and Horacio. Meeting Alex - a citizen of the world - was really interesting. It was great to chat with him while sipping his pineapple concoction. Highly recommended!

We joined Alex for dinner/BBQ and had a fantastic experience. Alex and his staff were welcoming, friendly, attentive, and great conversationalists! We felt like we were just hanging out at a friend's house for a cookout. The food was amazing, including grilled chicken, steak, sausage, fish, several vegetable dishes and amazing fried bread. Dessert was even awesome! There's no rush and was an incredibly laid back experience. If you can fit it in your schedule, you definitely want to come here for dinner while visiting Guanacaste!
