We loved our two nights at aracari hostel. We are a family of four and had the family room. It had a double bed and a set of bunk beds and its own large shower room with toilet. It was plenty big enough for all of us and was clean and comfortable. The rooms were hot during the day but the fans kept us cool in the evening. It is right next to the beach which meant we could easily get up to watch the sunrise. We booked a package with the night tour and canoe tour which were both amazing and definitely recommended. Both times our tour guide was Luis and he was very knowledgeable. We ate twice at the onsite bistro run by Celine and Diego and the food was fantastic. If you are looking for somewhere affordable, centrally located and with a chilled out vibe, this is your place.

Good position, close to the see, within the local town center. The staff is really nice, they allowed me to change the reservation due to one of my many travel mistakes. The dorms are not too big, and the kitchen is really good. I would like to thank Angi, of the stuff, for being really nice with me. Really recommended

This place is nice and good point for moving around tortuguero town it's beautiful. Maybe you'd like to try "Crazy coconut" basically it's ron and water coconut. Caribbean Chicken with rice and beans it's a really good option for eating.

We had a great stay at Aracari Garden. The room was clean and comfortable and tidied daily. The kitchen can get a bit tight when there are lots of people cooking but hey, we got to meet lots of great people. They were also knowledgeable about the area and got us set with some wonderful tours.

I loved staying here! I stayed in 7 hostels during my trip in Costa Rica and this was by far the best. The room was clean and spacious, and the owners were some of the friendliest and most helpful people I met during my time in Costa Rica. They were able to accommodate an early check in for me, and set me up on the best tours. They made everything convent and easy.
The hostel itself is a beautiful and central property. It is clean and has a relaxing common area with a full kitchen. I met awesome people and enjoyed every minute of my stay.
My only regret was only staying one night! Tortuguero and especially Aracari Garden were the highlight of my trip.

Half the attraction of Aracari is the attached tour guide Luis, whose morning canoe tour was incredible, one of the best experiences during our month in Costa Rica - it should be #1 on your Tortuguero todo-list whatever you came for, book it from the Aracari reception.
The hostel itself has super sweet and helpful staff, decent rooms and a cozy common area around the kitchen. Altogether well deserving of the high Tripadvisor score.report this review -

Central location. Walk to national park, restaurants, boat dock, grocery, nature walk, canoe trip. Clean basic suites with great owners.

Certainly one of the best place to stay in Tortuguero. Affordable (10$US in a dorm), laundry service, kitchen, guided tour, etc. I recommend the night tour at this hotel as groups are much smaller than other companies.
