I stayed during the 5 nights in the private room. The room has got a small private bathroom and WC. I liked the ambiance in generally, the reception behaved me politely. There was not any blanket in the room. The television is very small and old. They must improve them soon. There was hot water. The air conditioner was cooling but not heating unfortunatelly. There is not any wardrobe for the clothes unfortunatelly and there is not any refrigerator for the private rooms; i have put my coca cola to the refrigerator of kitchen but other guests drank my coca cola without my permission. You have to want new soaps and towels from the reception because they do not offer it everyday. The signal of internet was good, you can watch any movie from Netflixs on the tv where the saloon and you can play Nintendo but for all you have to ask them to the reception.

Lots of social spaces, young crowd, not very clean but not so dirty that I minded. The dorm door didn't close so it's always loud in the room. Overall good but not great.

Great hostel for meeting people. Not too big so makes it easier. Great for organising events for guests too like salsa classes and language exchange. Highly recommend.

Kind of party hostel, there is a bar and parties and tour are organised. Karaoke as well. In the middle of Laureles neighborhood, where mostly locals go out at night. Tourists usually go to Poblado, which requires to take the metro and the taxi to come back (no metro after midnight). It's close to the stadium if you fancy viewing a Medellin vs National game. The basics are there but you're packed in small dorms like animals. No furniture to store your stuff. Quite clean.

This place is the best hostel in Laureles in my opinion. Laureles is a great alternative to Poblado. The Wandering Paisa is super close to all the great restaurants, bars and salsa clubs. Also super close to Estadio, if you want to work out. Also super close to the metro if you want to explore the city. The hostel itself is great. good ambiance, although a little too much of a party scene for my own taste. Nothing ear plugs can't handle though. Great common areas. I would stay here again. Although I think my new favorite hostel is Ondas in La Floresta, which is a bit more removed from Laureles.

Stayed there in june and 2016 and loved it so much i came back in august of 2016. Great location (within blocks of 3 great salsa joints: tibiri, bururu, son habana), great atmosphere, prices and staff - very helpful and flexible. Great place to get a feel for the real medellin and meet interesting backpackers - not the sex tourism or drug tourism medellin of el poblado. Host regular events that facilitate interaction with locals and other hostel guests.

Great hostel with nice vibe. They have several events each month including language exchanges and karaoke. There is a daily happy hour from 7-9pm. Several areas to chill out with hammocks and couches.

Wandering Paisa is an amazing place for foreing in the Medellin City, they have comfortable bedrooms to offer, besides they have a complete list of diferent spectacular destination around the country for visiting, also people from the City who are learning any language like English have the opportunity to go there for practicing and to improve their speaking skills. Every other friday is the Karaoke.

Is not the best choice to stay, bad internet service, is not clean, many bedbugs, the kitchen and bathrooms always dirty, the hypocrites workers, steal from many guests and owners or managers do not care, BEWARE HIV (one of the receptionists likes to have sex with different guests on the night, we saw in the TV area many times) away from the metro, unsafe location.
