We spent 4 nights in this hostel and it was really great. The owner is a very helpful and kind French lady. She kindly gave us all advice we could ever ask for and even organized parties for us in the hostel herself.
One thing to add is that this one is actually the sister hostel of another Divanga which is just 3 minutes away. Staying Republika Divanga gives you all access to the swimming pool and bar to the sister hostel, but Republika is much cheaper than its sister (22k pesos per night, the sister is 35k pesos per night.)
You won't regret it!

The place is awesome. It's very clean and the staff are all friendly. It's close to the other hostel which has a bar, pool and good food for a reasonable price. Also it's very close to the beach.

Quite a chilled hostel despite Hostelworld saying they have a Friday night party, didn't arrive on until after 12 cos my bus got held up (not the sort with guns, phew!). Hostel was dark and deaf but the security guy sorted me out.

Comfy bed, secure, very clean and very helpful staff the next day. Good location near to Taganga beach but not in the thick of it. Would stay again if I was going back to Taganga, apparently you can use their sister hotel's pool but I forgot until ten minutes before I checked out. Durrrr

Don't confuse this place with the other Divanga in town.
they are both under the same ownership but this place is much more chilled while the other one (just 2 blocks away) is more a party hostel and therefore a little bit more expensive than this one.
The WiFi is working great and there is even a computer you can use. Big lockers, well equipped kitchen and free coffee and drinking water all day. As a customer, you can even go to the other Divanga and enjoy their pool.
The owner is very nice and helpful but I knocked one star because they had a new girl in the reception, when I checked in with her she told me a cheaper price than the price I was asked to pay when I checked out.
I would have given 5 stars if they have just let me pay the price I was told in the beginning, but the owner kindly insisted that I will pay at least some of the difference.
