A really amazing place to rest, very confortable, near to the beach, and the service is really good. Definetely i recommend it.
Nice but fairly isolated place. Free kayaks. Cheap taxi to Santa Marta.
Pros: delicious food, good location, close to the beach, towels included, rooms are cleaned daily, rooms are airconditioned, free coffee throughout the day
Cons: staff isn't the most attentive, the delicious food is only vegetarian, the bathrooms could be cleaned/upgraded
Nice place watch the sunsent while enjoying a drink. They have a different "happy hour" drink every day. Good place to meet foreigners
Terrible I am amazed gets so many good reviews
1. poor location. It is mils from center of Santa Marta but not in a lovely spot its actually in between several large hotels. Long walk to any supermarkets tc
2. cleanliness. Simply the dirtiest bar and common parts especially the kitchen I have even seen
3. no wifi in rooms. Advertises as having fee wifi but it only works in the bar . my room was 20 yards from the bar so that was an issue as I write as a job
I booked for 3 days and left after 30 mins could just not face 3 days here. There are so many better options in Santa Marta
There's alway good vibes in playa del Ritmo! The beach is amazing for sunset, the staff are always helpful and it's the only place you can find shisha (hookah) the British call it Hubbly Bubbly!I highly recommend this amazing place
Best Hostel in the area! Next to the beach, and their bar offers great drinks and food. The rooms were clean, the A.C. worked great. The only complain we have was that we got charged for stuff we didn't eat when we tried to check out, just make sure to check your receipt (and to keep them) before paying.
Beautiful beachside hostel. Friendly staff and service. Relatively inexpensive.
Great place to stay on Rodadero
This is a review for a bad experience I had at this hostel. I start by letting you know that I was not a guest at this hostel.
I was staying at the luxury condominium down the beach from this hostel.
So, I got sick from my stomach as the only thing closer to me was this hostel. I needed to use the bathroom in an emergency. The host at bar was very, very demeaning. I know I don't look like a white guy with green eyes. So he denied me to use the bathroom. I actually, beg him and my cousin did too. He gave us some excuses that the hostel is full and there is no water in Santa Marta. I said I can pay him. He got mad, looked at me I a condescending manner and said he cannot do anything. I was so sick, i told him I can bring water in a bucket from the beach if necessary, and I will pay him. He said it's not about money and said he cannot help us.
My cousins and I asked him what if he was in the same situation, he did. It care.
The only thing that made him finally allow me to use a bathroom is when my begging and our voices got louder, it took the attention of his guest.
I ask him can I please then use the bathroom at the reception PLEASE!!!! He then said, "Go"!! So mean,
I just walked to reception building, about 40 feet away and I asked the guys that I was given. Permission to use the bathroom.
I folded together a 50,000 bill inside a 2,000 bill and asked the guys to give to the host.
As I walked back to the bar area, he ignored us.
I'm
I like to say that in Colombia many people like this guy have no remorse to a fellow Colombian. I am lucky that I can use this means to voice my opinion.
An hour later my cousins passed by to eat something at this place he told my cousins was my name Alex, did I write this review online. She said that was me. He said, "you see, that's what happens when you try to help people"
My cousins did enjoy the food. One cousins had a lentil Hamburger and vegan fries.
