We loved it because it is close to Don Eduardo Coffee Tour and it is easy to plan the tour once you are staying there. However, the rooms are basically equipped, a lot of humidity and not very clean. We din't enjoy much the sleeping there, but we appreciated the host, he is very kind. If you are not very tight on the budget, go to a nicer hotel, like Reserva El Cairo and you can take the cab back to Salento for the tour.
Stay here and do their coffee tour or the roasting tour in the evening! You won’t regret it!
We heard about this place in Cali from other travellers and Don Eduardo is fantastic! Very passionate about coffee and extremely informative! Thank you so much!
Nice place to stay during a visit of Salento. The hostel is on the edge of town (but not far from the center) and is clean and quiet. Moreover, the hostel offers a coffee tour in the Finca of the owner!
Plantation coffee tour - I didn't stay at the plantation house (all booked) but did Tim (the owner of the coffee farm) did an excellent English tour of his farm. It lasted around 4 hours with detailed history and knowledge of coffee, the plant, it's origins and genetics before several cups of different coffee from different beans. Tim was very informative, the farm had some clever ideas and I would throughly recommend this tour if you were thinking of doing one in Salento.
I went here just for coffee farm excursion, but staff was really helpful and friendly
Very good price-quality ratio. Besides, the owners are very nice and helpful. I fully recommend this place if you're looking for a peaceful place in Salento, and not that much interested in having a 5 stars service.
Plantation house is located just on the edge of Salento but still close (7 mins walk) to Salentos main square. Nice rooms, great hot shower, friendly staff. You get a discount on a coffee tour if you stay there. Great and basic (no TV etc.). Would definitely recommend!
I highly recommend staying here. Great coffee tour and an awesome/hilarious owner that runs the tour himself!
Stayed here for 3 days after a recommendation from a fellow traveler in another city. The place is lovely, the location is great just on the edge of town. Everything you need is within walking distance. The rooms and facilities were clean and for the price definitely worth it. The owner and his dogs are wonderful! I also recommend doing the coffee tour with Don Eduardo - it's also cheaper for guests and we were not disappointed at all. He takes you through the estate (beautiful views), you learn and see the process from bean to cup and also get to have some. Staff was very helpful and also super flexible in letting us leave our bags around for the day and even wash up after we came back from some activities since we had our flight back out only in the late evening. To book, just send them an email since this isn't on most of the booking websites.
