NO CAMPING- Despite advertising that they allow camping on their website, upon arrival we were told otherwise. We were able to make an arrangement to camp somewhere else on the island. We met at least 4 other couples that had intended to camp but were also turned away. Take it off your website if you don't allow it!!! The hostal itself is very beautiful and seemingly well managed otherwise.

What a beautiful place! It's so relaxing and peaceful there on the island. The hostal crew was so nice. The water so clear. I can't wait to go back!

Best environment you can get. The guys at Hostal Isla Múcura give their best to make you feel great. They all love what they do and they couldn't be more friendly. Great facilities, bar and kitchen. Amazing chef, the food is out of this world. Thank you guys, we felt like in paradise.

Ein Ort an dem einem das Geld aus der Tasche gezogen wird. Klar es ist eine Insel und man kann deshalb die Preise nur so akzeptieren wie sie sind. Abgesehen von den hohen Ausgaben fühlt man sich aber auch einfach abgezockt.
Die größte Einheit an Wasser die verkauft wird liegt bei 0,25 l. Also am besten Wasser vom Festland mitbringen. Es gibt große Säcke (5 l) die werden aber nicht verkauft sondern sind nur für das Personal.
Die Touren sind deutlich teurer wenn man sie über das Hostel kauft. Mit der Begründung, dass es "sicherer sei". Das ist OK. Aber unsere Buchung der Rückfahrt wurde nicht ins System eingetragen, sodass es also keine Buchung gab für unsere Rückfahrt, obwohl wir extra mehr bezahlt haben, damit es "sicher" ist das es klappt und eben übers hostel läuft.
Sofern man diese Umstände kennt und daher keine Erwartungen bezüglich freundlichekeit hat, kann man sicher eine gute Zeit haben. Ist einfach kein Hostel bei dem man zu viel Freundlichkeit erwarten sollte. Man ist einfach die Geldkuh die gemolken wird, aber der Strand ist es vielleicht wert.response / report this review -

Es un buen lugar para descansar, tiene buenas instalaciones y se ajusta a cualquier presupuesto. Comparte la playa con un hotel cercano y está apartada de la playa pública, hay varios lugares para pasar el rato y la comida tiene muy buen sabor. Sin embargo la atención no es la mejor, quienes administran el hostal están más interesados en sus propios asuntos que en quienes están en el hostal, su atención se limita al pago y a lo que suceda en el bar. Lo más frustrante es que la comida que hace parte del plan no incluye ninguna bebida, ni siquiera el agua que toca pagar por aparte.

Tranquilo, acogedor, se puede acampar cerca de la playa, el staff es gente amable que se preocupa por el bienestar de los huespedes, el único punto negativo es que si se cancela la alimentación 2 de 3 comidas no traen bebida incluida.

Es un gran lugar para ir con amigos. Te ofrecen la posibilidad de hospedarte en habitaciones, zona de hamacas o una zona de camping. La comida es muy buena y la playa frente al hostal es muy bonita y perfecta para relajarse. En las noches Güevo's bar enciende la rumba para que la diversión continúe. Muy recomendado para gente joven y descomplicada que busque un escape y llegar al "fin del afán" (lema de la isla).

Me pareció muy bueno el lugar, la música el ambiente inclusive la atención prestada por el personal. Al momento de ingresar hacen varias aclaraciones muy importantes para tener en cuenta y no pasar por amargados o imprudentes.
Los fines de semana hay música hasta las 12 y los días de semana es completa relajación todo en silencio.response / report this review -

Muy buena infraestructura. Un excelente ambiente. Una buena locación. Muy buen terreno. Se puede venir y pasar la noche en zona de hamacas, carpas, habitaciones compartidas o para parejas. Un lugar recomendado.

An incredible place set in the middle of a private island. The accommodations are beautiful, clean and affordable. Food was amazing!
