Loved it very affordable and if you hike around back there is lots to see.
I can only talk for the day trip, but honestly in my opinion this is the best trip price value wise. We paid 130000 per person and spend a wonderful time there. I really love the bar in the pool! Also the food was really good, something I did not expect in beforehand.
We came early March and avoided the busy season. Amazing grounds and staff!
Nice and warm place. Slow wifi. The food could be better tho.
Nice hotel, do not expect the best rooms, but all is Good to relax And chill for a couple days
It's your typical run-down 80s resort. Everything is outdated and worn. The staff doesn't seem to realize they should wake up to all of that. The food always takes too long to arrive at the table, despite the fact that you must order it hours before. And when it's the time you said you want to have your meal, you'll be waiting 30min/1hour longer. It's expensive for what they can offer, therefore if you can just book your stay in another place.
Horrible stay, I had a bad night in part because of a greasy dinner. In the mourning we went down to the shore to rest and one of the hotel's autohrixed amenity salesmen (Jesus) started promoting his walking tours, making a disriapectfull joke and ruining the peaceful moment. He passed twice more interrupting the nice beach mood. I asked for water and a beer and was not there until second time we asked for it and 30 mins later.
Overall the service was lousy.
The day trip was not very Nice. Very noisy, we hear a motor running for quiet a long time. Could not really relax en enjoy because of the noise. And they have that Every day to pomp the water. Takes a few hours. There is no beach wich is a pitty And the food was bad. Not really worth the money.
The day tour here was wonderful two years ago and I decided to stay a night after a business trip recently. Unfortunately, the hotel is horrible. The mini-fridge looked like it might have a dead body part in it from all the rust around it, there were dead flies on the bed when I got in, the shower head only trickled water and at least two roaches scurried about the place in the one night I was there. The hotel is rundown and in dire need of intervention & health inspection. The staff are lovely, but for the price, there are much better locations on the island without so many concerns about bugs and running water. Further, while the boat trip to the island is pleasant and calm--the ride back the captain speeds to the point where everyone is soaked upon getting to Cartagena. It's sad, but I'll likely never go back to Cocoliso again.
Really enjoyed Cocoliso. We got the cheapest package but that was all we needed. The drinks were cheap at the bar but the service was very slow with only one bartender for two boats full of people. The included lunch was very Colombian and good as well. Beautiful!
A must. If you are in Cartagena go visit this island. Fair price, good food and gorgeous scenery
