Hostel is quite nice from the outside and the inner part. I had a private room with a private bath and ac. Everything was ok but when it started to rain some drops came down the roof. The included breakfast was only two pancakes and a delicious cup of coffee.
Can be very loud because the guests party right outside the rooms. But at midnight the staff move everyone on so that's a bonus. Great Aircon. No servicing the private rooms but staff are happy to replace towels, bins and sheets on request.
Casual atmosphere, nice accommodations. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
While traveling thru Cartagena, me and three of my friends decided to stay two nights here and it worked out really well. It was about $25k pesos for each person per night. We got a private room with A/C and couldn't have been happier with it. Once we checked out the last day, the folks running the hostel allowed us to leave our bags in a locked room while we had breakfast in the city. We also set up a bus service to Taganga right outside the hostel. Everything is in close proximity and the crowd at the hostel was young and welcoming. There's also two pet tortoises in the back!
On the spectrum of full on party hostel to quite secluded eco-lodge this definitely is close to party hostel. There is an attached bar and music is on to about midnight. It's very relaxed, you are allowed bring friends and your own own drinks. It has nice clean rooms, good bathrooms, kitchen, WiFi and computers you can use. It's close to good cheap restaurants and the old city. A good place although if you want somewhere quiet may want to loom elsewhere.
